About Maple Leaf Farm

I have a passion for life and adventure. My journey has taken me through large corporate boardrooms to the yoga mat to Earth Activist Training. With open arms, I welcomes guests to Maple Leaf Farm.

Why Maple Leaf Farm chose Bancroft

I was drawn to the wild beauty of the hills and forests of the Algonquin landscape in which Maple Leaf Farm is nestled. On the farm I feel grounded like a tree – enjoying the view, opening to the world and drinking lots of our clean, crisp farm water. I stand as a steward on the precipice of a large forest and diverse ecosystems which I hold in trust for visitors, the wildlife and the future.

Family Day Coldest weekend of 2015

  • 4 of 5

We were 3 families spending traditionally Family Day Long weekend in back-country.

Overall experience was good. Farm house was quite comfy to accommodate 6 adults and 3 kids, include a teenager and a dog.

We came to spend weekend for cross-country skiing, and despite frigid temperatures we were able to ski all three days. The coldest day we just went on un-maintained road behind the house to make a ski-track to ski on fresh deep snow. Two other days we traveled to East entrance of Algonquin.

House were ok. Owners responded quite fast to our request of assistance.

House is quite remote, but roads were cleaned and sanded just after the snow fall.

Wonderful Weekend

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I booked our weekend here in the winter and absolutely loved it. It was a lovely and very clean place that could have easily slept 10 -12 people, so we felt pretty spoiled just being the two of us. We were able to rent snowshoes from the owner and spent our days having a wonderful time going around the massive property and exploring our surroundings. There's lots of trails that are pretty well marked that you can enjoy. During the evenings we had a fire going and really enjoyed how quiet and relaxing the atmosphere was. All in all, we had a great experience and will definitely go back!
