Family Friendly Home on 3 acres for gatherings: RVs, Tents, Boats

Dingle has long had a place in my heart. Entering Dingle from Bear Lake, going to Montpelier, many years ago, I saw an old house for sale that had lots of character and just looked like it could tell the history of this place. We had not been married long and this was our first trip to Bear Lake together. As we traveled through this quaint town of Dingle, I saw more houses that had character and I realized Dingle is a place I could settle down in.

We were still busy with school and work in the Cache Valley area and did not pursue buying the old house. Someone did and it has now been renovated and looks even more beautiful. As the years went by, all our trips to Bear Lake (several throughout the Summer), we would drive through Dingle. Usually we are on our way to Montpelier to go shopping for groceries but we would take it slow through Dingle and soak in the peaceful setting of this western town. We realized we had fallen in love with Dingle. The name already sounds so delicious.

For years we kept an eye on real estate in this town to be able to purchase a place because I knew I wanted to own a piece of Dingle. Through the years, from this first time driving through Dingle to finally purchasing a home away from home, we added seven children to our family. We usually camped somewhere around Bear Lake. We either brought a tent or pulled a trailer and it worked well but was a lot of work to drag all our supplies around cramped in a car. I kept looking for a place we could rent that is family friendly and affordable but came up empty.

During the Winter months, when my love for Dingle would call, we would stay in a motel in Montpelier for a night or two. With as many people as we are, we soon needed two motel rooms and the prices became not affordable because we still would need to eat out lacking a kitchen in the motel.

That is when our love for Dingle and our desire to offer an affordable vacation spot for families merged. We started looking for a place where a family could enjoy quality time together, relax, tell stories, sit around the camp fire, go on a hike, soak in the sun at the beach, read a book together, make memories.My Bear Lake Vacation home is the result. We looked for years because it had to be family friendly, meaning child friendly. From experience I know it is not fun renting a vacation home and worrying about decorations that a two year old carries around or a glass coffee table that a four year old wants to climb on and use as his boat, and so on. My Bear Lake Vacation home is child friendly. We love families and we love children.
