About Cressida Bainton
This home has been in the family for years and four generations have enjoyed decades of great summer experiences here. It was always the one time and place where we could all gather and enjoy the very best of summer - or winter! - in the Hamptons. This was never designed as a showhouse, but as a place for family to gather in comfort and ease. The perfect place to come back to after a long day at the beach. It is a really down-to-earth place in an area that isn't always that way. It is still my favorite place to be. Unfortunately, currently living out of State, we just can't be there as much as we'd like.

Why Cressida Bainton chose Amagansett
There are few houses in this exclusive area that are so affordable and yet still provide such easy access to what makes the Hamptons a great place to be.
What makes this house unique
Dinners with fresh corn from the local farmstand and fresh local fish enjoyed on the front porch, by the rose-arbor are still among my best memories - although early mornings on the porch with the NY Times, a coffee and muffin from Mary's Marvelous is hard to beat! Enjoying an after dinner drink with friends, while the kids enjoy a movie in the other room is also pretty great. In short, we think this is a pretty great place to be.
