Very large, cozy house for 10-12 people, German speaking landlord!

Our holiday home is a newly renovated barn with all comfort that has first been rented for a few years. The spacious house (210 m2) is located on the edge of our 90 ha large forest with a private pond in a small hamlet and belongs to the region of Morogues. It is the ideal relaxation location for nature lovers, walks and fishers that would like to escape the tourism centers. If you would like to get to know a peaceful region and you like wine and goat cheese, then this is perfect for you: in the small hamlet you will find a small restaurant with specialties from the region. Drink a glass of cool Sancerre or Menetu-Salon, then you will have the good feeling of experiencing 'la France profonde'. During the summer, it is comfortably warm with very few rainy days, during the spring and fall, it is mild and temperate. On the covered patio of the house you can eat outside during the late year and enjoy a far view above the hills of the Berry region, to Bourges.

The forest house 'Les Pellets' is located by the village of Morogues in Departement Cher, about 200 km south of Paris in the center of France. Bourges is located about 30 km away and Sancerre 25 km. You can go shopping in Henrichemont (8 km), the capitol of the canton, where you can find supermarkets and countless retail stores, a bank and the closest doctor. A very beautiful weekly market occurs here. Nearby (4 km) you will find the romantic village La Borne, famous for its diverse ceramics. If you feel like canoeing on the most quiet river in Europe, the Loire, it is also not far away. For culture lovers, Bourges offers a lot: the cathedral, the Palais Jacques Coeur, music in the parks (every evening free during the summer) and a lot more. We, the landlords, are German and emigrated 26 years ago in order to work on agriculture. We live a few kilometers away from les Pellets. We speak perfect German and French and very good English.

Notes: The bathrooms and the kitchen, including all equipment, are new and modern. The beds are made upon arrival, we charge no fee for the bedsheets. Towels can be provided if needed. Remember, the ground floor is located on 2 floors, there are 2 steps from the kitchen to the living room. Our garden is not enclosed, because it goes directly into our forest. Dogs are allowed upon request! The house is not adapted for small children.
