Located on the Lake Michigan shoreline facing due west towards Beaver Island, this home is a true getaway. Enjoy views from every room, playing at the beach, hiking, long walks along the shore, world-class sunsets from the huge deck, dark starry night skies, in-town trips to Harbor Springs, Petoskey and Mackinac Island. Golf at Boyne is 20 minutes away. Enjoy the peacefulness of a private lake house with all the amenities of northern Michigan.
About Laura Kirchner

We lived in Chicago for 10 years, moved to Vieques, PR for 3 years, and then to Ann Arbor, MI. Growing up in Harbor Springs made us want to have a summer home in the area. I always loved the north coast, the tunnel of trees, and the water. The house is a blessing and we always feel so fortunate and peaceful every time we are there. We are excited to share it with you.

We fell in love with the house the moment we set foot on the deck. The views are breathtaking and the architecture of the house takes advantage of the site perfectly. The entire water side of the house is glass and every room has glass doors that open onto the porch. It is an open and livable space, yet still manages to be cozy and comfortable. We just love it.

What makes this house unique

It is a special piece of property because it sits on a bluff very close to the water. This gives it both the amazing views of being higher up, yet the water is still within yards of the house. The best of both worlds!

Good Hart is a serene and peaceful area. The house is just off the 'Tunnel of Trees' and surrounded by nature, the water is spectacular, the view are amazing, the beach is beautiful and always empty (like a private beach!). There are hiking trails, miles of sandy beach (great for long walks!), huge sand dunes. A real get away. The sunsets are truly world-class and at night the sky is full of stars. All you have to do is relax and enjoy!

Fantastic Vacation, Gorgeous House w Phenomenal Views

Our vacation was spur of the moment and it couldn't have been more amazing. The house is fantastic - gorgeous view from every room in the house - immaculate, and well appointed - you feel like you are in an upcale lake resort. Very cozy and convenient to everything in the area - State Parks, hiking, dunes, reserves, beaches, Mackinac, downtown Harbor. You could eat breakfast everyday at the cute cafe in Good Hart! Lots of stuff for kids to do - we would go again in a heartbeat. This vacation made us re-think how often we can come up and visit Northern Michigan.
Recommended for:  Age 55+, Adventure Seekers, Girls Getaway, Sightseeing, Families with Teenagers, Families with Young Children, Romantic Getaway

Lake Michigan beauty! Wonderful family vacation!

We have visited this area many times over the years and have loved it. This year we took the opportunity to stay on Lake Michigan in this beautiful home. Words are not enough to express how wonderful this place was for our family. We play on the beach, we went north to Wilderness State Park and played on the dunes and on the beach, we visited Pond Hill Farm (a great place for kids), we went to our usual destination of Mackinac Island and had a great day there. The home has a great kitchen and outdoor grill which we used every day. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and just like home. The open layout of the home was perfect for our family of four and enjoying the home.
On my own I went biking on the Trail of Trees, kayaked in Lake Michigan and hiked the trails in Wilderness State Park before everyone in the family got up each morning. So this is truly an outdoor trip for anyone - even those without a family.
Finally, the owners are truly wonderful. The have a great home and are willing to share this great treasure and are great to work with.
This home is everything it says and more. You cannot go wrong in renting.

Sunsets on the lake

A spectacular view from every room in the house. Comfortable beds and nice deck for evening chats and sunsets. A short walk down to the beach where beach chairs welcomed our arrival. The kids loved making sandcastles and walking out to the islands off shore. The shallow warm waters were wonderful. Very peaceful, quiet and relaxing which was great for downtime, reading and recharging the batteries. The property is very clean and upscale. The general store and shops in the nearby town of Good Hart provide all the essentials and some home-made "pot pies" which were fantastic. A short drive to Harbor Springs or Mackinaw Island through the famous coastal road "the tunnel of trees". That road has a lot of cyclists enjoying the gentle rolling road with beautiful homes and farms. Our bike ride to Harbor Springs was one to remember as the views and scenery are spectacular. We'd definitely stay here again.

UNBELEIEVABLE!!!! SPECTACULAR!!!! Great value, cozy, comfortaBle, and immaculate!

This place is unbelievable. If you are looking for a secluded week on the beach, this place is it! E view is unbeatable, with a giant wall of glass doors facing out onto the lake. Every room has a view, and every room has a deck! A stones throw from the beach we routinely parked the adirondack chairs in the water and watched the kids play on the beach for hours on end. The water is shallow, clear and warm. The two islands are worth exploring, and a great place to convince the kids that there is pirate treasure buried on one of them!

The house is designed to capture the lake breeze, so even the warmest days can be enjoyed with the continuous cool lake breezes. The house is on the M-119 "Tunnel of Trees", a spectacular road for bicycling. We typically saw more cyclists than autos on the road! The house is about 18 miles from Harbor Springs, a glorious resort town with cute shopping, boutiques, restaurants, and beaches.

By far one of the best vacation rentals we've ever done, and we will definitely be coming back!
