Very large modern family villa located in the Natural Reserve of the river Sado in Herdade do Montalvo. The private condominium spans 1,000 hectares and has many villas and security. The beautiful safe estate has many cycle paths and borders the Sado river for 600 meters. It is a beautifully protected area. There is a small supermarket in the estate for the convenience of guests.

On the ground floor of the villa we find the huge living area with two large sofas and seating for 12; the dining area can comfortably seat 10. A cosy fireplace will warm colder winter days. The main modern kitchen is spacious and well equipped, and has a separate breakfast area. The living room opens out onto the terrace which also has outdoor furniture; from there you can access the pool area and garden. We also find on the ground floor a fold out bed with shower room, the twin bedroom close to a large bathroom, and the master bedroom, which has a large double bed, and bathroom with bath, sink, bidet and lavatory. On this floor we also find the second kitchen which has a hob, sink and fridge freezer. This kitchen is linked to the second living/dining area which has a TV and two double sofa beds, as well as a dining table for four. The loft has been converted into a large light and bright studio, with a lovely open space and two double sofa beds.

Close to Alcacer do Sal, 70km South of Lisbon, where the recently restored castle from the Moorish ruins is located on a promontory overlooking the peaceful valley of the River Sado which is to the southeast of Lisbon. The small town was an important site in Roman times for the culture of salt and there is a record of a fort existing as early as the 6th century BC. The area is well known for the multiple species of birds that can often be seen and for its many stork nests. The town of Alcácer do Sal is within convenient reach of Lisbon via the Motorway. We also recommend that you visit the Rice Museum at Comporta and the village of Torrão.
