Kalamaki has, despite the new asphalt road, kept his charm and is still given as a “secret tip” to new visitors.
The combination of the not yet fixed buildings (during summer there are no building activities), the beautiful holiday flats and the Greek citizen provide the character of the village. Significant is the hospitality and sincerity of the inhabitants. Finally you can say that Kalamaki is small, quiet and clearly laid out area, where you will be known quickly with your first name. Most of the accommodation is in small houses (mostly pensions), managed by Greek families. In the mini markets you can find everything one might need for the common kitchen. For those who’d like to be spoiled there is a wide variety of taverns. Obviously they also serve breakfast. For nightly excursions you’d better go to Ag Galini or Matala. With their bars and disco’s they provide unbelievable pleasure. You can also prefer to stay in Kalamaki and enjoy in serenity the wonderful sunset.
Other Activities: greek dance, yoga, beach volley, horse ridding, hiking
