Scenic Get Away - Peaceful

We stayed for a week - enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and river views. The property was as described, a 1940's cabin - with updates and was very tastefully decorated. The only downside was the sleeping arrangements on the lofted area, as it was a bit cumbersum, may not be good for small children, due to the ladder going up was steep and unsteady. The cabin is a 'studio' type area on the main floor - the bed / living room all in one room.
The owners met us upon our arrival and gave us a great tour of the property - they are wonderful and were extremely accomodating.
Nearby activities: Torch and Elk Lake - downtown Alden has some quaint shops for shopping, although as we found out - they close early during the week and on the weekends.
We would definitely consider another trip to this property.
