This cabin is great for a romantic getaway or a family looking for a cozy place for a few days. Approximately 800 feet of riverfront and 6 secluded acres with old growth forest. Cut throat trout, Coho Salmon, Steel Head and some King Salmon can be caught out of the river as well as Big and Small Game hunting within a 1/2 mile of the property. RV hook ups also available.

As a local resident of Westport Washington I own and run the Windjammer motel. See website link on this page.
Mike Vandehey purchased this cabin in 2008
The Johns River Cabin was a property I purchased and renewed about five years ago. The reconstructed cabin was originally moved from Wash Away beach years before and I upgraded and remodeled into a cozy cabin retreat. Views of the rooms and details on amenities can be found at the web link.
Large Covered Deck
The home was even nicer in person than in the picture. Clean and well stocked we enjoyed our stay. We sat by the quiet river, picked blackberries and thimbleberries.and enjoyed the sauna. And that was just while we were not out fishing. We are planning a return trip in the future...
My family loved this cabin by the river. It was close to the Wesport Winery, where we enjoyed lunch and wine testing. We bowled at the Viking Bowl in Westport. Visited downtown Westport and the beach. The cabin itself was clean, well furnished, had two rooms, and a wrap around deck to sit under. The sauna was a neat feature. The kids liked the fire pit.
We stayed at the cabin one night and were pleasantly surprised at how nice and clean it was. We have stayed at several rental cabins over the years and this was one of the nicest. We easily drove to Westport for the day and enjoyed fresh salt water taffy and stopped at the brewery recommended by the owner, finished up the day having pizza at the pizza place. Overall had a great time and the kids enjoyed splashing in the river.
Our time at the cabin was so relaxing! The property is very secluded, yet just a short drive to town and the beaches. We loved hanging out around the fire pit and letting the kids "fish" in the river. My husband can't wait for hunting season so he can go back with the guys - we saw a lot of elk in the area while we were there. The furnishings are comfortable, the kitchen has everything you need for prepring meals and the sauna was a nice surprise. We will definitely return and stay here again!
