Cadiz Vacation Rental apartment

I had only visited Cadiz once when on a cruise. When I saw this charming apartment for rental I decided to book for a week. The booking process was highly efficient and friendly. All my emails were replied to promptly and courteously. I wanted to do a few day trips to Jerez and Seville and the owners were very helpful with translation for the train schedules etc. I was met by the owners at the apartment and they gave me directions to the nearest shops, recommended bars and restaurants etc. There was a good selection of tourist leaflets in the flat and an excellent library of books and DVD´s. The apartment was very well furnished and clean. It had a well equipped kitchen although I ate out so did not use this facility much. The terrace was exceptional. It had all day sun and I really enjoyed a quiet drink in the evening just watching the sun go down on the Cathedral bell tower. The flowers were stunning and I know the owners put in a lot of time keeping the terrace looking nice. I found Cadiz to be a very friendly City with few tourists. The sites were easily accessible and those that did charge entry were very cheap. The streets were safe and I did a lot of walking around the City. I would say that some grasp of Spanish would be a benefit or at least a pocket dictionary to help you through the varied menus. If you are a tea jenny then take a supply of tea bags as I did not find any that resembled the UK brands. I would certainly visit Cadiz again and would definitely stay at this property.
