customer service at sun valley worst we have ever seen anywhere.

the accommodations were good the amenities also were good but we won't return for 2 reasons, snow conditions & customer service. the mountain itself was impressive, runs were long and steep, lifts and chalet very nice but looking at the history of the ski hill it appears snow is consistently lacking. Further evidence stated that someone tried to build a resort a little north maybe a little higher up and sun valley lawyers blocked it. the second reason which we couldn't understand at all was the lack of customer service. lift operators, guest services at sun valley, restaurants and bars in town, and the sun valley lodge specifically the duchin lounge all terrible customer service. workers are unfriendly to the point they are rude. lacking snow should be a reason to concentrate on customer service. as a lift operator and guest services at the base making small talk with guest is only in your best interest to make the day go by quicker. we have skied all over the rocky mountains and we have never experienced anything like it. almost everywhere we went in idaho people were unfriendly to the point of being rude. the duchin lounge at sun valley village may have taken the cake. the server at the apres ski party was completely incompetent along with the bartender where after waiting 20 minutes for service I went to the bar to order drinks and the bartender told me to sit down the server will be with you. at the base of the ski was another example the guest services there to help you load and unload just stood there would not talk to you and of the 5 days we skied there actually helped were helped only twice, that's 5 days 2 times at day so 10 opportunities to help. one day at the end of the day there were 5 guest services people standing there talking to each not helping one guest - try to make eye contact with them and they would look away. There were people there all the time but all they did was stand and look off in the distance. we get back to our lodge and I call customer service to complain and of course it goes to voice male. We got the impression that they don't care. We have never been to sun valley before and won't be returning but I don't see how anyone can run a business like that. I get the impression that because of the conditions and consistent snow issues that they are suffering and it shows. the only other reason could be laziness workers & management not doing their jobs.
