Al Ladino is our little treasure, three kilometres west of the small town of Nerja and some 45 minutes drive east of Malaga airport, it’s just 5 minutes from the beach and 7 minutes by car from our favourite restaurants in town. But we really chose Al Ladino for its understated charm, tranquility, breathtaking views of the mountains, and panoramic vistas of the coastline and town below us.
From its elevated position a third of a way up a hillside, Al Ladino sits next to the last remaining pine forest in the area, a protected landscape for now and the future.
Al Ladino offers the best of both worlds, ‘la vida tranquila’, the peaceful life, where the air is clean, the birds sing and civilization is not too far away as you relax in the private sunkissed south facing pool.
Al Ladino is a charming terracotta roofed ‘casa de campo’. Many people don’t know it exists, but local Spanish people who’ve seen it says it’s ‘preciosa’ - priceless, lovely, gorgeous … so beautiful it’s incompa

Set in mature gardens in a stunning setting, Al Ladino is a rustic-style casita (small house) just one kilometre from the sea and some 3 kilometres from the former fishing village of Nerja.
Perched on a hillside of unspoiled countryside amidst olive and pine trees, the house overlooks the town, surrounding mountains and gentle coastline.
The property, while not remote is ‘private’ and ideal if you want to be in a quiet setting enjoying pure tranquility while at the same time being just 10 minutes by car from either Nerja or the typically spanish mountain village of Torrox.
At night, lighting concealed in the vegetation illuminates the garden and pool area. From the patio you wont fail to be drawn to the view - the beckoning glinting lights of the town below.
A spacious ‘rustic style’ lounge and dining room with a wood burning stove.
This main room leads through into a traditional farmhouse style kitchen which contains a fridge, gas hob and washing machine.
The lounge and dining area includes built in seating, a dining table & chairs and traditional furniture. Where possible the property has been improved using restored antique wood to preserve the natural character and be environmentally-friendly. There are two bedrooms, a shower room with double sinks and WC. There is also a separate small washroom containing basin and WC.
Bedroom no1 is a twin bedded double room enjoying views over the pool and patio and spectacular countryside which includes the mountains and other panoramic views.
Bedroom no 2 is again a double-sized room accessed directly from the patio. It has its own breathtaking views.
The patio doors from the lounge area open onto the terrace where you’ll find a sun bathing area, swimming pool (5 m x 3.5m) with outd
