Harpe Cottage is a grade 2 listed dwelling set in the idyllic historic Shakespearian village of Wilmcote Warwickshire. Nestled within a private country lane some 250 meters from Mary Ardens House, it is the ideal location in which to stay and explore Stratford-Upon-Avon, the Cotswolds, Warwick and the surrounding areas. Harpe Cottage is reputed to be the oldest dwelling in Wilmcote, dating back to circa 1405. It has recently undergone an extensive renovation programme of very high standard and quality, still retaining its original character and features. At the front of the cottage is a private off road parking space. Once through the front door you will enter the lounge, tastefully furnished with it's heavily beamed ceiling, flagstone floor and very impressive walk-in inglenook fireplace, incorporating a cast iron wood burning stove for cosy nights in!!. To one side of the lounge you have a small dining room and to the other is the inner hall, leading to the downstairs toilet.

The ideal location to explore Stratford -On-Avon home to Shakespeare,and surrounding areas such as warwick castle and the fabulous Cotswold villages.

    A £100.00 Non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking payable six weeks prior to the rental start date. Where the first day of your rental period is less than six weeks from the start of your rental period the full amount is payable.

    The tariff includes all linen, mains gas, water, electric and logs for the wood burner.

This magnificent Tudor Farmhouse was home to the mother of William Shakespeare, now a Museum dedicated to showing life in Tudor times, Harpe Cottage is only 250 meters away from this historic house. The village also has a good local store, two public houses. A Church, two bus services, one being an open top bus leaving from Mary Ardens house on a round trip to Stratford. A train station providing a regular service to Stratford and Birmingham, There is canal access to Stratford and lots of peaceful country walks.

Stratford-Upon-Avon: Stratford-upon-Avon, birthplace of William Shakespeare. It is one of the most important tourist destinations in the UK, a perfect place for a vacation or short break. In the birthplace of England's greatest poet and playwright, the town is still an important market town in Warwickshire. Many of the original houses from Shakespeare's time are still in excellent condition, being preserved by the Shakespeare birthplace trust. Stratford Upon Avon and surrounding areas offers a wealth of places to visit of historic interest, many tourist attractions and plenty of theatres shops and restaurants. In the adjoining town of Warwick which is situated 8 miles from Stratford-upon-Avon. You will find and can visit Warwick Castle which is the finest mediaeval castle in England.
