Amazing place

We rented both units for a month and two weeks respectively. My mother-in-law and her friend had downstairs, whilst myself, husband, 4 year old son and my parents rented the upstairs. We were both happy about how that worked out as upstairs contained less of the owners' knick-knacks for my son to get hold of. However, the downstairs unit is much better stocked.
The complex is lovely, not too big, and full of friendly people. The grounds are attractive and the pool is beautiful. All the staff were great. You cannot get closer to the beach. In fact, the sound of the surf is quite loud. You can swim right outside in the ocean, but watch for big waves and hidden rock piles. The location is close to Janet's, the largest super market in Cabarete and there is a hidden gem of a restaurant (Casa Mimi) right across the road. You can walk along the beach to Cabarete but may have to zag up to Janet's and back because of the receding beach. It is about a 10 minute stroll to the start of the main action or get a gua gua anywhere for 50 cents.
Cabarete itself is wonderful. The restaurants are reasonable and top class, and happy hour is not to be missed. Whilst there you can try kite-boarding, wind-surfing, surfing, and paddle-boarding. I did not want to come home.
Fawn is great to deal with and replies quickly to any concerns. There are also people on-site to help you out too. Only quibbles I can think of is that the wi-fi upstairs is sketchy ( router is downstairs, but Fawn is going to run another upstairs soon), and that the units do have some on-going salt problems: curtain chains rusting for instance. But overall they are top notch and the giant balconies are great.
Can't wait to go back and will stay here again.
