**DETAILS**
The house is at the edge of the rainforest, perched atop a hill overlooking the jungle. I can't begin to describe in words how awesome it is to sit out on the lanai or in the living room listening to all the birds in the jungle.
The lanai has two tables and the stars are spectacular at night. When evening rains come in, the lanai is such a spectacular spot to watch the raindrops stream though the sunlight falling into the jungle. (Most of our rain comes from trade wind cycle, typically blowing in overnight or later in the afternoon. Since trade wind clouds come from the east, the afternoon sun still shines brightly, giving use plenty of rainbows!)
If you can tear yourself away from the lanai, the inside dining table with high pub-style swivel chairs brings you right into the view.
Bedroom with queen bed, plenty of light, large closet with shelves, hanging and luggage space.
Open and airy living room with queen sofabed, CD-Player w/our favorite Hawaiian music and new Flat-Panel TV. Large windows are everywhere, bringing the outside inside.
Full kitchen with granite counter tops, double-stainless-steel-sink & fridge. Fully stocked with amenities such as microwave, coffee maker, wine rack, blender, water blubber, dishes, glassware, tableware, pots, pans, knives, etc.
Bathroom with tub and shower. A second outdoor shower.
**BEACHES**
These are our favorite of the uncrowded, non-touristy North Shore beaches. Once you've been to these miles of serene uncrowded beaches, going to hotel beaches seems silly :)
- Baby Beach
Great for kids, lap swimmers and beachcombers. Also very scenic.
- Ho’okipa Beach Park
You can watch some of the best windsurfers in the world here. Also has very regular surf breaks.
- Baldwin Cove
Calm cove, great for escaping the wind when the sand is blowing!
- Baldwin Beach Park
A long, sandy beach with plenty of parking, lifeguards and facilities.
- Tavares Beach
Popular with locals. Good surf break, too.
- Kuau Cove aka Beach at Mama’s Fish House
A small tide pool beach. Kids love exploring here.
- Paia Bay
Great for advanced boogie boarders. Also has a good surf break.
- Paia Secret Beach
Secluded and clothing optional.
- Jaws
In the winter you can watch big-wave surfers defy sanity!
