On Portugal’s south-west coast, in the protected rural landscape of the Alentejo is 'Casa dos Bichos' - a beautifully presented, 5 bedroom Villa with swimming pool & garden, set in a desirable, peaceful area of this charming Portuguese seaside town. Casa dos Bichos offers spacious, quality accommodation in a stylish yet relaxed atmosphere - on the ground floor a bright, welcoming entrance hall; sitting and dining room with central open fireplace and direct access to the garden and pool; fully equipped kitchen + utility room; cloakroom; 3 double bedrooms all with en-suite bathrooms. On the first floor are a further 2 bedrooms, one with private bathroom and a veranda from where views across the river and surrounding countryside can be admired. The south-facing garden, mainly laid to lawn and with shrub borders, has a covered terrace, overlooking the inviting 8mx4m swimming pool, and a BBQ. The villa is well situated within the town, just a stroll away from all amenities and beaches.

Set within the Costa Vincentina Natural Park, it is a protected coastal area of outstanding natural beauty waiting to be explored and experienced, through a wide range of cultural and leisure activities such as – nature walks, cycling, horse-riding, riverboat trips, bird-watching, fishing, diving, surfing, canoeing…the list is endless. There is plenty to see, visit and enjoy within the town and beyond; just within a 20 minute, scenic drive are the pretty seaside villages of Porto Covo, Almograve and Zambujeira do Mar and, in and around the 'Serra do Cercal' hill range, are the idyllic towns/villages of Cercal do Alentejo, Sao Luis, and Odemira.

Additional information about rental rates

  • Casa dos Bichos 'Promotional Opening Rates' include:
    - a special Welcome Pack on arrival.
    - Cleaning and Laundry service before and after each booking, linen and towels (except for beach and pool).
    - for stays in excess of one week, a general clean, linen and towel change is also provided.
    Changeover - This can be flexible if days do not conflict with other bookings. The rate for one week is for a booking of 7 nights.
    For bookings of two weeks or more a discounted rate would be offered - please contact us for more information.
  • To secure a reservation, a 25% non-refundable deposit is required.
    The remaining balance is to be paid in full 8 weeks prior to the start of the holiday. In the case of short notice bookings, the full rental amount would be due immediately.
    A refundable damage deposit of €500 should also be included with this payment; our main concern is to ensure that the property is left in a reasonably tidy order and its contents remain in good condition. The damage deposit will be returned within 2 weeks of departure, subject to a satisfactory property inspection. Small, accidental breakages/damages may be waivered but damage resulting from inappropriate use or carelessness will be duly charged.
    We would greatly appreciate if guests did alert us of any breakages/damage as soon as possible so that repairs/replacements can be rectified in time for the next arrivals.
  • The villa is available from 6pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10am on the day of departure.
    Guests are kindly requested to refrain from smoking in the interior of the villa.
