Photos and Description of the Duras vacation bungalow rental Sleeps 8 [possibly 10] in a peaceful hamlet, close to a nature reserve

4 Bedrooms [3 double, 1 twin] sleeps 8 comfortably. In addition, for a modest supplement, a bed-settee can be provided in the lounge extending this to 10. 2 cots [1 standard, 1 travel] are also available for the little guests. There is a 42 inch TV with Sky+ and a DVD player in the lounge. There is an ADSL internet connection and a phone [local calls only please!] There is a well equipped kitchen and dining room. Inside, 2 bathrooms complete the accommodation. Outside, a gazebo and barbecue encourage al fresco dining. The relaxed 1½ acre garden, mainly grass and trees, provides plenty of open space for the kids to play safely - help yourself to the fruit! The crowning glory is the 10 x metre by 5 metre swimming pool which is fully lit for night use. There are 8 sun loungers, 3 tables and 17 chairs - plenty for dining and poolside relaxation. Hand, bath and beach towels are provided for each guest. A welcome basket will be waiting for you on arrival.

Come and share our enthusiasm for the glorious Aquitaine countryside, its empty roads, vineyards, golf courses, tennis, boules, chateaux, weekly markets, restaurants and bars. We are located on the border of both the Gironne and Dordogne, giving easy access to the world renown Bastide towns and their living history. Other local attractions include Karting, Aquapark and Aquarium - and the cave dwellings at Les Ezies and Belves. Cycles are available for hire and fishing permits are easily available for the local lake cum nature reserve. The wildlife is wonderful. Locally we have already notched up deer, hare, water vole, Corncrake, Cuckoo, Nightingale, Serin, Hen Harrier, Turtle Dove, Osprey, Buzzard and Black and Red Kite - and the butterflies! The night skies, almost light-pollution free, are beautiful, so much fuller than we see in the UK. Perhaps most relaxing of all is the excellent wine - red, white, rosé or sparkling - at the local domaine - just 250 metres away

    A discount of 10% will apply from the 3rd week onwards.
    A discount of 20% will apply from the 6th week onwards.

We want you to enjoy your holiday with us in safety so the property has 2 smoke alarms fitted, a fire extinguisher and fire blanket as well as a first aid kit and eyewash bottle.
