Overview

Camden Apartment Rental Photos and Description

Loft Unit above barn-summer/weekly rate-winter/monthly rate

1BD/1BA (sleeps 2)

Charming Loft apartment with off street parking located on Jacobs Avenue, known for it's Historic 'Sears Kit Houses' from the early 1900's. Full Kitchen, Cable TV, WiFi Internet, Stereo and Linens provided. Short stroll to Camden Village, Harbor Park, Yacht Club and Laite Beach. Camden Village offers great shopping experiences and wonderful restaurants. Camden Harbor offers photo worthy views at every turn. Matter of fact, you will most likely encounter artist's in the process of painting the harbor or photographer's capturing the harbor with their cameras. In addition, the fleet of Windjammers in Camden Harbor offer short day sails to explore the Islands and History of the Penobscot Bay region.

Next door Rockport Harbor is also one of the prettiest Harbors in Maine, with the Midcoast Landmark, Aldermere Farm, home of the Belted Galloway (or as the locals call them 'Oreo') Cows, Beauchamp Point & the Children's Chaple, the Rockport Opera House offering concerts throughout the summer, Shepard's Pie Restaurant (which is a local favorite and open late), Graffam Bros. Seafood Shack & Market (for the best Lobster, Clams, etc.), Rockport Marine Wooden Boat Yard with a continual array of beautiful boats and Maine Media Workshops, a world renown Photography and Film College (where many of those photographer's you see hail from). All this and so much more within walking or biking distance of Jacobs Avenue...bikes are offered free with the apartment rental!

Perfect!

This was the perfect home away from home for us. We had a great time exploring Camden, hiking, kayaking and enjoying the harbor. It was wonderful to have this very comfortable, private, adorable loft to return to. The location is great as it sits in a lovely Camden neighborhood close to everything. Lee and Kim are wonderful hosts making sure you have everything you need. Lee even treated us to a sail on Penobscot Bay a highlight of our trip! Would go back in a heart beat!

The location of this property is perfect for walking into town where there are so many things to see and do. My husband and I spent 5 weeks exploring the coast of Maine again and going to a family reunion. The owners did recommend a couple of places to eat and we passed the information along to relatives who were also staying in the area. It is perfect for two people and it is in a very nice quiet neighborhood.

I hope to make it back to Camden again and would definitely stay here again!!

Perfect location and great hosts!

  • 5 of 5

Thank you for opening your home to us! We had an amazing time on our girl's trip and first visit to Maine. The loft was just as you described. It was cozy, charming, and clean. The location was perfect and within walking distance to everything. We only used our car to go sightseeing. We enjoyed the breathtaking views, sailing and great food (thanks to many of your dining recommendations). We have such wonderful memories of our time in Camden and would definitely stay at the loft again. We could not have chosen a more perfect location and the owners were delightful! Thank you for the memories!

Cute Camden Studio

Perfect for a vacationing couple. My wife and I spent a week celebrating our 10th anniversary exploring the mid coast of Maine. We loved having this place as our home base. Quiet, clean, and charming. Owners very helpful in addressing any needs. Camden is very picturesque.

Close to Everything, off the cutest street in Camden Maine

  • 5 of 5

Jacobs Ave is the home to a series of Sears era starter homes that have weathered beautifully over the years, and the charm factor couldn't be higher. Camden is a yearly destination for me and my newest fave-o-rite spot is 23 Jacobs Ave- simple & sweet with a loaner bike that made my visit complete. Highly walkable and very close to downtown but without the traffic and buzz. French and Braun grocery is less than five min away. Laite Beach is also a five min walk, and a great place to bbq with stunning camden harbor views. Next time I won't rent a car, as the bus from Logan Airport drops you near downtown, and unless sightseeing is high on the list an automobile wasn't needed at this location.

Camden Harbor is one of the most beautiful Harbors in the United States. There are over 1000 islands off the coast of Maine, which makes for beautiful and interesting sailing/boating and scenic drives. I go day sailing often and would be open to invite our renters to join me sailing, should they be interested.

Within 20 minutes of Jacobs Avenue is the quintessential Megunticook Lake (think 'On Golden Pond'), Rock Climbing on Maiden Cliff, Hiking (or Driving) up Mt. Battie State Park, The Center for Furniture Craftsmanship School of Fine Furniture Makers, Lighthouses, Lobstering, Antiquing, Swan's Island Blankets, Windsor Chair Makers and the Towns of Rockport (see more details above under 'Accomodations') and Rockland, home of the renown Farnsworth Art Museum, numerous Art Galleriers, Owls Head Transportation Museum and so much more!

Scenic Drives abound near Camden: head north to Belfast (don't forget to drive through the tiny community of Bayside) and Acadia National Park or stay closer to 'home' to picturesque Tenant's Harbor, Port Clyde, Pemaquid, Round Pound or New Harbor, to name a few!
