Sight seeing: In about ½ to 1 hour you can reach most places in the Provence that you would like to see: Avignon Pope with the palace and its beautiful old town, where people sit comfortably in a street cafe under trees, Nimes, Orange with its old theatre, Vaison, Serignan with the Labor Jean-Henri Fabres, the once so important Abbey Abbaye de Senanque, les Baux, the nearby Dentelles de Montmirail with climbing, the barren, yet so charming Plateau de Vaucluse, with the Bird Park in Camargue, the flamingos and wild white horses and the sea. You can enjoy culture, scenic beauty, sports, art, and much more you will certainly not be bored.
Activities: The area around Mont Ventoux is a paradise for hikers and cyclists. There are many usable marked hiking trails for all levels, hike to the protected southern flank of the mountain. Cycling from the house: cozy trips to the area, go exploring with children, as is the challenge of Mont Ventoux: (perhaps the 'Tour de France' is known to you.) - 1600m altitude difference of 23 km . Riding school with well-kept horses in the vicinity. Climbing in the nearby Dentelles de Montmirail. You simply walk from the house and discover the many wild flowers, rare butterflies, wild herbs and fruit growing. Swimming is 6 km away in two beautiful lakes (it is good to cycle to), and from mid-June to late August there is a pool on the outskirts of Bédoin, with 3 tennis courts that are cheap to rent.
Provencal food and wine: Amateur cooks enjoy the rich assortment of fresh vegetables from the area, which come directly from the farm in the village, from the weekly market or from the 5 times weekly evening farmers market which come directly from the field, plus the high-quality olive oil and the wonderful wines of the Côtes de Ventoux. The kitchen is equipped so that you should not miss out. We give you tips on the spot where you taste and buy wine. Similarly, the restaurants, of which most are within a few minutes' walk from the house, here you can sample a wide and varied range of Mediterranean cuisine.
