Overview

Rockaway Beach House Rental Photos and Description

House, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 12)

This spacious vacation home offers all the luxury and amenities you would expect from a high-end getaway, coupled with a few playful touches that make it extra special. Between soaking in the hot tub, shooting pool in the game room, and roasting marshmallows at the outdoor fire pit, you might have trouble convincing your family to leave the house and stroll down to the beautiful sandy beach!

Despite its relaxed and fun-loving atmosphere, the home is also well-appointed with custom light fixtures, polished hardwoods, and modern furnishings. The living area is open and bright, with vaulted ceilings allowing plenty of natural light to pour in through the tall windows. A plush sofa and armchair sit before a cozy electric fireplace, making for a very cozy spot to curl up with a good book.

The open floor plan includes a six-person dining table that sits adjacent to the sunny kitchen. Amateur chefs will find everything they need to prepare gourmet meals, including stainless steel appliances, ample counterspace, and several small appliances (such as a mixer, waffle iron, and blender, just to name a few). The dishwasher makes clean up a breeze, even with a large group of diners.

Above the living area, the open loft makes a great place for the kids to hang out and have their own space. Air hockey and a pool table will make even the rainiest of days entertaining. There is a bedroom upstairs with a full bed, as well as a sleeper sofa and futon in the loft for extra guests. Downstairs, the luxurious master suite has a beautiful queen bed and attached bath with a soaking tub. The third bedroom, also downstairs, has a twin-over-double bunk bed, just right for a second couple with a child.

On warmer days, everyone will surely congregate outdoors. The back patio has a set of table and chairs just waiting to welcome a pitcher of margaritas or bottle of wine for a leisurely afternoon, or gather around the gas grill to flip burgers or listen to the steaks sizzle. On the other side of the deck, a hot tub offers a relaxing place to soak under the stars (or first thing in the morning, since it is your vacation, after all). In the yard, an outdoor fire pit is ringed with hand-cut tree stumps, just begging for a marshmallow roast or ghost story session. The house sits on the edge of a babbling creek and quiet pond that attracts the area wildlife and coastal sea birds, providing a lovely backdrop as you sip your morning coffee on the balcony and space for the kids to explore the great outdoors just beyond your front door.

Large groups will feel right at home here, with a washer/dryer provided to keep up with laundry and Internet access for those who need to stay connected. The house is even dog friendly, so you don't need to leave any family members at home (although a $10 per night, per pet fee does apply, along with a $40 minimum per stay). When you arrive, you'll find even more pleasant surprises, such as three bicycles (two adult, one child) and plenty of games, books, and toys to keep you busy all week.

When you do convince yourself to leave the house, the serene Nedonna Beach is just a short walk away, with a long stretch of sand for sunbathing, seashell hunting, and kite flying. Downtown Rockaway Beach's small but charming collection of shops and restaurants are about three miles south, making this home perfect for those who like a little more peace and quiet while still being close to the amenities and conveniences of town. And even closer to home, plenty of opportunities for fishing, crabbing, clamming, and chartered tours abound in this recreational paradise.

Fun weekend

  • 5 of 5

We had a group of 10 adults stay in the house. There was ample space for us all to sleep. The beds were not very comfortable but who really goes on a vacation to spend a lot of time in bed? The beach was the best beach I've been to in Oregon. Lots of driftwood and great beachcombing. Our group found numerous intact sand dollars on our Sunday stroll. Try your best to get everything you need from the grocery before heading to Rockaway. The grocery there was sad. The town was cute though. If you do go into Tillamook I highly recommend Workman's Irish Pub for food. They had great food when we went there for lunch after grocery shopping for the weekend on the way to the house. Far better than most pubs I've been to. The staff I talked to with VACASA were incredibly helpful. The hot tub was great!

Amazing home with a lot to do!!

  • 5 of 5

Amazing home. Very personal touch added by the owners, including coats to use to go and explore the beach if you forgot yours! :)

In addition, there are plenty of activities in the home to keep you busy....pool table and air hockey, along with a million board games. For those more adventurous nights, there is an amazing hot tub right outside.

I loved this house, and will absolutely be back!

Very nice family weekend

  • 5 of 5

We had a great family weekend. Everything we needed was there. We couldn't find the puck to the hockey game....and we had to look hard to find the hot tub chemicals in order to follow the housing directions (but we finally did). Clean, plenty of room, we enjoyed ourselves.

Great house and wonderful alternative to Lincoln City and Seaside

  • 5 of 5

Rating: 5/5

Who knew Rockaway was such a treasure? Before this week we had only driven through Rockaway on our way to stay at the more popular Lincoln City or Seaside etc... We were nervous that the beaches and town would not compare but we were pleasantly surprised. I would dare to say I like the beach better in Rockaway than Seaside. We saw sea lions, countless full sand dollars and beautiful rocks and shells on our many beach walks. During the weekdays the beach was almost empty. Now we know what we have been missing was a very quaint town with incredible beaches and people and a wonderful house called Renegade’s Paradise that was comfortable, inviting and helped us make memories that will last for a lifetime!

All 4 kids were able to make "camp" upstairs in the loft and each had a place and space to sprawl out and make their own! Loved all the books and games in the house for kids.

The adults took the two bedrooms downstairs and everyone enjoyed themselves thoroughly. If you like a very firm bed then you will sleep well in the downstairs beds. If not, bring a blow up mattress for more comfortable nights.

Hot tub looked small in the pictures but we were pleasantly surprised that 4 adults fits very well.

Walk to the beach only took about 5 minutes and is paved the whole way.

The house was well priced for what you get. Don't let the pictures fool you in to thinking it's too small. Because of the big open loft the house lives very roomy and comfortable and even though kids are upstairs you can still hear and see them so you still have the together family feeling of a one level.

The house was comfortable and inviting and we felt this house was a seaside gem we would most certainly return to.

family getaway

  • 5 of 5

my family of 11 had a wonderful time at your vacation home. It was in a wonderful quiet neighbor hood which we loved and a short walk to the beach. The hot tub added a nice enjoyment after the long walks on the beach. Everything was very clean and ready to use. Loved all the games and the the kids especially loved the pool table.
