Renting for three months minimum, a furnished 3-bedroom (third bedroom is currently an office, but can be converted to a bedroom) 2-bathroom one story house in Huntington Beach. The house is renovated --with wooden floors throughout, large updated kitchen and new bathrooms. It has a nice private backyard (low maintenance with drought-resistant landscaping), good location in a quiet neighborhood close to the beach and the pier, but also with good access to the 405 freeway and metropolitan Los Angeles as well as San Diego.
About Bo

I am a free lance resource developer helping nonprofit organizations, NGOs, colleges and universities get funding for operations and projects. My clients are all over the United States, but also in Asia, Latin America and Europe. Before I started freelancing in 2011, I worked at a community college near Los Angeles doing essentially the same thing. I moved to Huntington Beach from a suburb of Chicago in 1997. Even though I love Chicago, nothing can beat the southern California climate. I love to travel and live in different places and different parts of the world. Since now I only need a computer and internet connection to do my job, it’s totally possible. During longer absences, I put my house up for rent.

Why Bo chose Huntington Beach

I bought this house because I like the cool and informal vibe of Huntington Beach. It's like being on vacation all year round. I like to walk on the beach and go to the pier to watch the sunsets so closeness to the beach was important as was easy access to the freeways and all the amenities.

What makes this house unique

When I saw the house, I was immediately attracted to its open layout and a great flow and to the nice private backyard and a quiet cul-de-sac location with no traffic. After living in it for 15 years, I still think it's a very comfortable house and super easy to maintain.

Huntington Beach is a friendly and laid back southern California town with 8.5 miles of uninterrupted beaches, year-round surfing and lots of other outdoor activities like rollerblading, biking, skateboarding, beach volleyball, horse riding, golfing and hiking. But HB offers a lot more than the beaches – incredible shopping, art and culture and any kind of food you can possibly want. From here you also have an easy access to Disneyland and all the famous cultural and entertainment attractions of greater Los Angeles and San Diego. Another travel plus is that HB is located near three airports – John Wayne/Orange County (SNA), Long Beach (LGB) and Los Angeles International (LAX).

With year-round warm and sunny weather, it’s a great place to get away from cold winters.
