Elegance in Newtown

5 of us enjoyed a 3 night stay in this elegant spacious and well-equipped flat in a great area of Edinburgh. Close enough to all the attractions of the city. If you are fit you can even walk to Arthur's Seat and the Royal Yacht Britannia which we did. Lots to see and we especially liked the owner's recommendation of Bistro Moderne. The free walking tour with Jonny was a fantastic introduction to Edinburgh's history.
The traffic noise when sleeping seemed a bit of an issue at first but we got use to it. Would definitely rent the flat again.

Lovely apartment and great location!

We loved the apartment! Location was just perfect; close to the city centre, bus stop just accross the street and grocery store just at the neighbour. There are lots of restaurants near by too.
Traffic noise was not a problem for us being tired from the day´s activities but for light sleepers, it could be since all the bedroom windows face the street.
It was great to have two spacious and modern bathrooms as well.
The property owner was friendly and helpful and easy to reach.
We will definitely recommend this apartment to our friends, and if we´ll go back to Edinburgh it´s obvious, where we will stay.

Fabulous City Apartment

This apartment was a fabulous place to stay in Edinburgh. It was so close to the downtown and other attractions - easy to walk to the Castle, shopping, Princes Street. The apartment comfortably housed our family of 7 with plenty of space. It was clean, well kept, no problems. It was easy to get assistance if you needed it. It was close to many great restaurants and convenient to groceries. Could not have been better.

Spacious and good location except for the noise

We stayed in the apartment for 3 nights as a family group of 3 generations for a family wedding. We were delighted on arrival to find rooms were huge, with gorgeous kitchen and two ultra modern bathrooms and good level of equipment. The location would be brilliant for tourists who want to walk or use public transport for sightseeing. Fab deli just under the flat too.
There is one major drawback with the apartment and that is traffic noise. It is situated at a busy junction and since the streets are cobbled in that area the noise 24 hours a day is very disruptive at night and did affect being able to sleep. For those who sleep through anything or take earplugs this might not be such a problem. We were also disappointed that what had been an otherwise very happy stay was marred by getting a text from the owner asking for an additional payment because we had used the garage. This had never been previously mentioned.

Owner's Response: The property does have large windows overlooking the road so there will be traffic noise but one does have to bear in mind that it is located in the city centre. I have been letting this out for nearly 5 years and in that time no one else has mentioned the road noise so I assume for a number of people it is not too much of a problem.
I am sorry there was a misunderstanding over the garage. This simply came about through the assumption that it had been included in the total price. Because of this no further discussion took place as to whether the garage had been booked and therefore I did not think it had been. Once I was aware of the misunderstanding no charge was made.

Perfect apartment for a short stay

We had 6 adults staying and we loved it. The apartment is comfortable, spacious and ideally placed for exploring Edinburgh.

Fully equipped and charming, we only recommand a better cleaning of the kitchen.

We don't hesitate to recommend this apartment!
