We are St. Pete, FL residents, and Rainbow River is my 12 year old daughter's favorite destination. She and her friends love the pristine clear water, in which they swim, snorkel, kayak, and use dip nets and fishing rods to catch fish.
We splurged this year and took a group of her friends for an overnight stay at Nana's River House. The girls loved the house, and despite the cooler air temperature, they swam quite a bit. Everything was clean and very comfortable. We cooked out, had a campfire with s'mores, and rented kayaks at the KP Hole to supplement the ones we brought. The kitchen had all the necessities as well. The backyard going down to the river is also pretty and peaceful. The mist rising off the river in the morning is beautiful. This is "old Florida nature" at its best.
Juanita also provided very helpful information and answered all of our questions. We highly recommend Nana's River House!
