Enjoy the best of SW Florida. The condo unit is located in the 'Four Winds Marina'. This is a full service marina with boat facilities, gas, bait, marine store, and a wonderful restaurant (the Lazy Flamingo) is just steps from your door. You can catch your own fish. Filleting station is directly in front of the restaurant ...walk your fillets in and they will prepare the fish to your taste and style for a nominal fee.
This is a first floor unit (with parking directly under unit). A 'locked' 6' x 6' storage closet is located on ground level.
The ladies will love the shopping in nearby Matlacha (pronounced mat la shay). Quaint, multi-pastel painted artisan shops line both sides of the street. Fresh blue and stone crab, shrimp, oysters and other delectable seafoods are readily available.
A large, out-side, locked, pool area with changing and bathroom is just a few steps from the unit.
Although the grounds are very quiet and safe, a uniformed security guard patrols all night. The gated turnstyle adds an extra element of security.
Free USE OF BOAT,( except for weather, unforeseen breakdown, etc.) 20' Pontoon boat has 2012 (90hp) evinrude etc...you save $300/day.
Free use of (2) bicycles. Consider taking the bicycles on the pontoon boat, boating over to CAYO COSTA STATE PARK to ride through the beautiful trails of mangrove forests, and the beach-side trails in the park.
Dolphins and manatees swim past your lanai. The beautiful birds fly so close to your lanai that you can almost touch them. Watch the ospreys skim over the bay with their talons skimming the water...bang! Up they soar with a live mullet for dinner. Pine Island Sound, Matlacha Pass, Sanibel and Captiva islands are just minutes away for some of the best fishing in SW Florida. The tarpon capital of the world...Boca Grande Pass is just minutes away
The laid-back, casual lifestyle of the island is sometimes interrupted when you or the car in front of you stops.... The driver gets out to pick up a tortoise that has strayed onto the road and carries it to the edge of the road to safety.
Cayo Costa State Park, a short boat ride across Charlotte Harbor, features 2 1/2 mile, pristine, sugar-sand beach. Water-taxi service is available.
Several fishing rods are available for guest use. Living room features a 'queen-size' pull-out bed with a gel-foam topper, reclining love seat, and a big-man’s recliner chair. Kitchen appliances include coffee maker, blender, toaster oven, 'wide-opening' toaster for bagels, microwave oven, etc.
I've seen wild boar near the condo, as well as tortoises walking nonchalantly on the side of the road. Giant, great blue herons feed frequently, directly in front of the lanai.

Yes, my prices are a bit higher than comparable condos in this area, but 'DO THE MATH'..... if you were to rent a pontoon boat see ( WWW.BOATSFORFUN.COM ), AND (FOURWINDSMARINA.COM ) you will find the rental for a 20' pontoon boat averages $300+/day and over $1000/week. If you only used the boat 3 days a week...that's about $ 900/week and $ 4000/month.....It's like getting the Condo for FREE.
Generally, Jan, Feb, and Mar are rented every year to regular renters. All you need is to check out the number of rentals on my calendar, and it tells you a story.... My renters keep returning year after year....because I do everything in my power to provide a very enjoyable place for you to have an exceptional time in paradise. If you like this condo, but the dates you would like are not available...I, also, own and rent the adjoining unit # 203, see VRBO # 643317. It is a carbon copy, but with a WRAP-AROUND LANAI.

BEING AN AVID FISHERMAN, I HAVE ALWAYS DREAMED OF FISHING FOR THE FAMOUS TARPON OF BOCA GRANDE PASS. WHEN THE OPPORTUNITY AROSE TO BUY THIS PROPERTY, ONLY MINUTES FROM 'FABLED' BOCA GRANDE PASS, I COULDN'T BUY IT FAST ENOUGH. IN FACT MY FIRST TARPON WAS CAUGHT ON MY FIRST TRIP ..OVER 150 LBS...WOW!
WHETHER YOU JUST WANT PEACE AND QUIET, YOU WANT TO SIGHT-SEE ALL THE MAGNIFICENT WILDLIFE, TO WANDER THROUGH WONDERFUL NATURE PARKS, OR FISH FOR THE MYRIADS OF EXOTIC FISH THAT FREQUENT THESE WATERS.... THIS LOCATION HAS IT ALL.
We were excited to stay at this condo after several other trips to Punta Gorda and Cayo Costa. Each area visited has had it's own feel and Bokeelia was another good adventure.
The condo is tastefully done, has a great view and comes with the essentials...along with extras to make it a pleasurable stay. We biked to garage sales, fished off the wall and off the boat, met some great people (visitors and owners). We caught a variety of fish-mangrove snapper, trout, sheephead, ladyfish and a couple of grouper. It was great having boat gas, bait and the small store on site. It was a fun routine for our son to get live shrimp in the morning and lug them back in a bucket. The store help took good care of him. We chose to spend most of our time fishing on days with good weather, along with a stop or two at Cayo Costa. The on site pool was a nice option for our 8 yr old (Lawson) to get some swimming in. He also liked bumping into the neighbor (Elmer) and his dog (Daisy Mae?). And our visit to this area is never complete without him stopping at Island Visions to visit Hector the Cat. In fact, Lawson ended up sitting down with two retired gentlemen from Ohio and discussed all sorts of things, including his college options and the Big 10, a for at least 30 min. Seeing some of the offshore fish come in and being cleaned was fun too.
The boat(s) had some issues, but the owner (owns 2 units) worked quickly to rectify the problems and get us back on the water. He also checked in after our trip and asked if anything needed fixing so that it's ready for the next renters. So you can rest assure that Bob will do his best to help if there are any challenges. If you aren't somewhat seasoned as a boater or don't know the area, you will want to use caution until you get familiar with channels and bars in this area. There's some shared equipment between the two condos, so some friendly conversation may need to take place if you are adventurers wanting to avoid a bike ride or kayak excursion planned for the same day. Mike and Vicky were staying in the other condo and were great to communicate with.
The on site Lazy Flamingo restaurant is a convenient option. We also visited restaurants like Woody's, Michelli's, Red's and others. All were good in their own way. Shops and ice cream stops were fun.
Our parents were part of the fun too, so at times we had 5 of us staying in the condo and it worked out okay.
We had a nice stay and really enjoyed it.
Excellent accommodation and location. Lots to do and see on Pine Island and surrounding area. Highly recommend this rental to others and we will probably return in the future. Owner's extra hospitality was greatly appreciated.
WOW !!!! What a great view. The Condo was exceptionally clean, and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed to cook-in, The appliances were, obviously, brand new and top-of the line. The TV was a huge, flat screen 3D. Everything the ad says is true. The beds were soooo comfy. The owner, BOB, was such a pleasure to deal with. He called us several times after we checked in to make sure we were completely satisfied, and to offer advice for a more pleasurable stay. His advice on the operation of the pontoon boat was fantastic. We had a great time exploring and fishing the area. In closing, Bob's guidance and recomendations to the best fishing spots was the greatest. He knows all the best spots and he doesn't mind sharing them with his guests. We'll be back again next year, for sure.
