San Juan de Capistrano Vacation Rental apartment: Nerja

This apartment is in San Juan De Capistrano in Nerja. I stayed here for five weeks over June/July 2009, and loved it. The apartment was very comfortable and immaculate. It had a compact kitchen with microwave and grill, and laundry facilities. The bedroom was very comfortable and the west-facing terrace had views down to the sea and across to the hills. The fantastic pool is just a short stroll up the hill, as is a convenient shop with most essentials. There are also several poolside cafes. Just across the street from the apartment is a family-owned restaurant with good food and friendly service. Beside the restaurant is the bus stop. Buses run regularly on a circuit through Nerja, with the centre a short bus-ride or an easy 40min walk down the hill. The fare was 1 euro, especially good value for coming back up the hill! The bus route includes several supermarkets as well as access to the town. Nerja is a lovely town with the Balcon de Europa at its centre, with nice beaches and many cafes and restaurants. The local market is held weekly just a 10 min walk from the apartment. There is parking just across the road, or if you don't have a car the local bus takes you to Nerja bus station. There are lots of great places to go to such as Frigliana, the coast towards Malaga and the Alpujaras. I really enjoyed staying there and would thoroughly recommend it.
