Photos and Description of the Charente vacation house rental Luxury lakeside house for exclusive carp fishing holidays in Central France.

A luxury lake side house with its own private, well stocked, carp fishing lake. The house was built in 1960 in a traditional French style. The house sleeps 6 people in 3 bedrooms. We have large lounge/ dining room, with a large south facing terrace overlooking the lake. From here you can watch the fishing action! There is a 38' LCD with UK TV, a large collection of DVDs CD player, built in BBQ and 5.5m cedar wood pool. The lake is well stocked with carp to 40lbs plus we have a good head of around 40 grass carp in the lake. The lake is just under 2 1/2 acres, a nice 'high action' lake to fish. It is a lovely location and perfect for family carp fishing holidays where everyone can enjoy themselves. We have many repeat guests for family holidays.

Nearest Ferry: Caen at 380 Kilometres
Nearest Train: St Junien at 10 Kilometres
Nearest Motorway: A1 at 30 Kilometres
Nearest Beach: beach at 60.0 Kilometres
Car: necessary
The medieval towns of St Junien and Confolens are about 8 miles away. Our hamlet, within walking distance has a small co-op, bar, cafe, bakery and pharmacy. St Junien is a lively town with a good range of shops, cafes, bars etc. A large swimming lake is at Etagnac which is around 15 minutes away. Limoges is a 35 minute drive which is famous for its porcelain and enamel.

  • The main bedroom has large patio windows leading onto the South facing patio with lovely views over the gardens. The other 2 bedrooms are large with nice views over the fields. its so peaceful you can often hear the cuckoo!!!

Notes: The house is well equipped for a family fishing holiday You can walk all the way round the lake and there is a small boat to help with bait placement. The patio has lovely views over the lake. Secluded and peaceful but not at all isolated. Within easy reach of all shops, bars, restaurants.
