We are a family of four. This spot is one of our favorite vacation places because when we are here, we are united and nothing interferes with that good old-fashioned family togetherness.
The Nguyen Family purchased this cabin in 2002
When we first saw this cabin and its surroundings we were stunned by the beauty and magnificence there. It looked like something you would only see in a painting. It is truly a hidden paradise that we have found.
The energetic river is very soothing to gaze at and to listen to. The motion of the river seems to relax the mind, body, and soul. Truly a unique part of staying at our cabin.

Thi & Yen,
What a wonderful place you have, when we arrived on saturday we were very pleasantly surprised at how perfect your cabin is. This is the cabin of our dreams and one day we hope to have one just like it. Everything was so clean and well taken care of. We really enjoyed the river and watching all the wildlife including deer, wild turkey, trout (David caught 4)and even a crawfish that almost got Fran's toe. I imagine we will be back many, many times because it was the most enjoyable weekend. Thank You for being such gracious hosts.

Don't miss this one....this cabin is directly adjacent to the most PERFECT stream you will ever encounter - deep pools, waterfalls and accessible by foot, just a 30 second walk from the cabin - what a property! Our family enjoyed this mountain retreat for 4 days and 3 nights in March 2015. The cabin is larger than it appears in the photos, and the extra-wide deck overlooking the stream is amazing - it had an umbrella-covered outdoor table, where we had our evening meal every night, complete with patio lights clipped onto the umbrella - very nice as it became dark. The outdoor fire pit was a major highlight of the trip - we had a fire every night, with S'mores, hot dogs, stories and pure enjoyment of this thoughtful feature. There was some firewood provided - even kindling and small branches - but my son also brought his ax and splitting wedge, making even more firewood from cut trunk pieces that were provided in a pile down the hill from the cabin. The porch swing was a big hit for the grandchildren, ages 5, 3 & 1. There's a gate at the steps entrance to the porch/deck, which provided safety for the little ones to roam on the large porch/deck. The kitchen is extremely well equipped - just bring paper towels and toilet paper. There is plenty of cabinet space - no automatic dishwasher, but every other convenience is there. How nice to have a washer & dryer with this cabin, essential with little ones. The cabin was very clean and easy to keep clean. Towels & linens are provided, though you will have to make-up your beds when you arrive, and wash/fold all linens & towels before you leave. Although we were only in the foothills, the property is so secluded, it felt as though we were deeply placed into the wilderness. There is a road just across the stream, but otherwise, we loved the privacy. The mile-long driveway is a single lane, gravel road, with some curves and hills, but if carefully driven, it's not a problem. The manager of the property, Brent, came by on our last day & is a great guy - loved to be sure the guests were having a good time and had everything they needed. Quang (one of the owners) answered all my pre-trip questions and was quick to email or call me when needed. We sent our rental payment through Pay Pal - extra convenient! Our family will definitely make this a vacation destination from now on - we hope to have a lifetime of memories for our children and grandchildren at this cabin. Thanks to the owners for this place!!
My wife and I spent a much needed vacation in this lovely cabin. The setting is perfect - complete with a waterfall just off the front porch. The cabin is charming and rustic while offering all of the necessary amenities. We only left the property once during our 4-day stay (a grocery run). I haven't been this relaxed in years. I can't wait to come back!
What a wonderful way to celebrate our 39th anniversary. Blue River Cabin was everything we hoped for and more. From the moment we opened the first entry gate, we felt like a wonderful adventure was about to begin. The cabin is spacious, spotlessly clean, and supplied with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing, totally peaceful getaway. Falling asleep to the sound of the rushing water and waterfalls ...well, it just doesn't get any better than that. We will definitely return, and several of our friends are already wanting to book a stay also!
We had a great time at the cabin! We really enjoyed the drive up the mountain. We used the GPS Coordinates to the first gate and found the cabin with no problems. It was nice to be greeted by the dog at the first gate. She was very friendly and always there. We thoroughly enjoyed swimming and fishing in the river. We caught a few small fish. There were a couple of spots in the river where you could swim through the rapids. We found a natural jacuzzi up river about 1/4 of a mile. It was so nice to sit under the waterfalls. It was a lot of fun! We would recommend this cabin to any of our friends and family.
We are repeat vistors and everything was perfect as always. Thank you for sharing your home with us.
We didn't catch any fish this time but it was nice to get away.
