Can't say enough good things about this place and the Pantai Inn!

We stayed here the last week of August. The studio is run by the Pantai Inn which has several benefits I'll get to in a moment. The unit is just like it is pictured and the view from there is stunning. You are literally across the street from the cove. You can stroll across for a walk and check out the sea lions that adorn the rocks or just enjoy some of the beautiful sunsets that we had every night there. The village with all the shops, restaurants and art galleries is a short stroll up the hill.
We arrived there a bit early on a Sun. afternoon and to our delight found a concert going on at the cove. Usually parking is incredibly difficult in any beach area especially in the summer on a weekend but having a reserved space right outside of your unit there was wonderful.
The unit is probably best for two but since it was just Dad and two young daughters it worked for us. Having the kitchen area was a big plus for us. There was no air-conditioning built in but there was a portable cooling unit set up in there. There is free wi-fi but we didn't bring any laptop and if you can- leave it at home and enjoy.
Everyone on the staff that we met were so accommodating and friendly. Ryan and Veronica greeted my daughters with a new bag of sand toys that just set the mood for them and the week. Another big plus is the continental breakfast the hotel has every day. We had wonderful fresh fruit every morning. (just be sure not to leave your tray and wander off if you decide to eat in the courtyard as the seagulls may find it appetizing also)
If you're a couple looking for a romantic getaway I would definitely recommend this place. They also have larger units as part of the hotel which are suites so if you're a bit of a larger family I would recommend checking those out. This is a smaller boutique hotel and you don't feel like just a number like you might at a large chain.
Having lived in San Diego years ago this is one of my favorite areas. We took a short drive to La Jolla Shores on a couple of days which is good for little ones making sand castles. Sea World was on our agenda and you are only 6-7 miles away. We also did the zoo one day too.
I look forward to getting back there when I can.
