Notes: PRIVATE COURTYARD GARDEN: a special feature of Heritage Mews is its beautifully maintained courtyard garden - planted for colour and interest in all seasons. In summer, there is a profusion of colour with geraniums, cosmos daisies and busy lizzies. Step outside from the sitting room and dine or relax outside in seclusion; in the evening solar lights add atmosphere. With sun from morning until late afternoon, it has been described by a guest as 'an oasis of calm beauty in the sun'. A small tree provides shade if needed. In spring daffodils, primroses and hellebores are in bloom. In autumn and winter there are colourful pots of pansies and violas with clipped box trees and evergreens. Whatever time of year you visit, the garden is a delight to look out onto. BROADBAND INTERNET ACCESS / Wi-Fi: unlimited free broadband internet access is available (wireless or cable connection). This is password protected (with WPA encrytion) for security. PAYPHONE with free line to owners.

Excellent, spotlessly clean, comfortable cottage

S A March, Cambridgeshire
Review Submitted: November 19, 2009 Date of Stay: November 2009
We thought the cottage was wonderful, it was so nice to stay somewhere with immaculately clean carpets to put the baby on. Lots of lovely extras provided including bath ducks! Cot/linen for baby was lovely. Great location, only about 10 mins walk from town but in a very quiet area. We didn't need to use the car at all! I have already recommended this cottage to a friend and hope to return next year.

Five Star Experience

T and I Carlisle, Cumbria, UK
Review Submitted: August 6, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
Heritage Mews is a lovely, comfortable, well appointed, immaculate cottage within easy walking distance of the centre of Stratford upon Avon. This cottage is spotless with lovely personal touches, a secluded garden and ample parking. The Shakespeare Centre, good shopping and excellent restaurants and pubs are within a ten minute walk, or you can saunter into town via fine river walks.

Holy Trinity Church with Shakespeare's grave and Nash's House just five minutes away. Don't miss the Butterfly Centre which is just over the bridge from the centre of town.

We had a tour of the RSC Courtyard Theatre which was very interesting and informative. However it is advisable to book early for any RSC production as best seats go fast.

Heritage Mews thoroughly deserves it's Five Star Visit Britain rating, and we look forward to visiting again in the future.

6th - 13th June, 2009

Margaret and Peter Woodbridge, Suffolk
Review Submitted: July 16, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
We rented our first holiday home about twenty years ago and have since experienced properties from Kent to Cornwall, and as far North as Northumberland. During June, 2009, we stayed at Heritage News for a week, compared with which all the other holiday homes failed dismally.

We have never been made so welcome, nor found a property so well equipped and spotlessly clean – the owners have thought of everything one could want or need, including a library of leaflets and maps to make it easy to see what is available in the surrounding area.

We were so pleased that, for the first time ever, we hope to return next year.

Heritage Mews - a place to relax

felinefancier Bury, Lancashire
Review Submitted: July 5, 2009 Date of Stay: June 2009
Having stayed in many cottages for many years when we found Heritage Mews 5 years ago we knew we would return. The cottage is immaculately clean and the facilities excellent. The owners can be contacted by the installed payphone in the cottage should you have any queries. The lounge is very comfortably furnished and all rooms are more than adequately equipped. We shall be returning for yet another visit, having stayed in Stratford upon Avon for at least 20 years and knowing the area well would certainly recommend Heritage Mews to a friend.
Restaurants we would re-visit are Lambs, Vitners, Cafe Rouge and B.H.S. Cafe for Afternoon Tea!

A Well-Deserved Five Star Property

Crowbar Croydon, Surrey, England
Review Submitted: July 2, 2009 Date of Stay: May 2009
We found that the Heritage Mews property and its owners delivered fully in all the claims they had made for it.

The owners met us upon our arrival, were friendly and courteous, showed us around and were happy to answer all our questions about the area.

Heritage Mews is situated in a quiet area to the south of Stratford-upon-Avon, and has its own secluded parking space just behind the back garden. We found the property to be in immaculate good order and were particularly impressed with the back garden, which was beautiful and well-maintained, and where you could find both sunshine and shade at most times of the day.

The situation of Heritage Mews is perfect, being both out of the town centre and yet within an easy walking distance into it, avoiding the crowds. It is even closer to the theatre, and it was a treat to be able to be back inside our cottage within ten minutes of leaving at the end of a performance.

My wife and I also enjoy walking, and found that there was easy access from Heritage Mews to the River Avon, south of the town. From here, pleasant riverside walks could enjoyed in either direction.

We would unreservedly recommend this cottage to our friends, and we look forward to returning to it ourselves for a further holiday in the future.
