Family friendly accommodation in Austrian house with British owners on site. Quiet, unspoilt Alpine village in the Hochkönig ski area. Apartment A is ideal for a large family group or a group of friends. It is on the first floor and consists of 2 double bedded rooms and 2 triple bedded rooms. There are 4 shower rooms with WC. There is a dining room with colour TV, DVD player and double bed settee. The fully fitted kitchen comes complete with microwave, dishwasher, fridge with freezer box, kettle, coffee maker, electric ceramic hob and oven. The apartment has access to a large south facing guest terrace with seating and tables, games room, ski and boot storage. In the games room there is table tennis and a pool table. Having 3 young children we are well equipped for families, with a large garden, toys, and baby equipment.

Nearest Train: Bischofshofen at 15 Kilometres
Nearest Motorway: Bischofshofen at 15 Kilometres
Car: recommended
The village has a supermarket, an excellent bakers, tourist information, 2 banks, post office, chemist, cafes, restaurants and bars. Leisure activities include walking, climbing, fishing, swimming, tennis, children's activities, mine museum and hang-gliding. In the summer the Karbachalm cable car from near the village, will take you up to a height of 1600 metres to begin your walk. There are fantastic views of the Hochkönig mountain range and many typical Austrian mountain restaurants to enjoy. In winter the Hochkönig ski area has 39 lifts, 150 km of groomed slopes and 40 km of maintained cross-country trails.The area has a good record for snow. From our house the free ski bus is just 5 minutes walk, and this takes you either to the Mitterberg-Hochkeil area, which is excellent for beginners, or the cable car where you can ski from Mühlbach to Maria Alm and back. From the cable car you can ski right back to within 2 minutes of our house, snow conditions permitting.
