A 180-degree, unobstructed view of the craggy isles of the Meis (Kastellorizo) archipelago spreads out before the sunny terrace and private infinity-edge pool at Villa Lacivert. Located on the beautiful Cukurbag Peninsula, 4 km from the seaside resort town of Kas, the villa features 4 bedrooms (1 double and 3 twin rooms), sleeping up to 8 people. Each bedroom opens to a terrace with gorgeous sea views, and each has its own en-suite bathroom. The villa also has TV, DVD and CD player; comfortable salon and dining room and separate toilet; modern kitchen with granite counters, cooking hob, oven refrigerator/freezer adn dishwasher; and laundry room with washing machine. All rooms with AC. The pool-side terrace is entirely screened from neighboring properties, has ample room for sunbathing, and a shaded arcade for serene alfresco dining. A solid stone stairway leads you down to the sea, where a naturally secluded, level seaside ledge and swim ladder allow for idyllic Mediterranean swims.

The villa is located on the sunny, breeze-cooled Cukurbag Peninsula, on the majestic Lycian coast of Turkey about 4 km from the quaint seaside town of Kas. The unobstructed 180-degree view from the villa looks out over the deep-blue Mediterranean Sea, toward the Greek island of Kastellorizo (Meis), 5 km offshore. Kas is a popular and modern tourist paradise, which has retained the charming feel of a fishing village. It is the perfect tourist hub, within an easy drive of many ancient ruins, the vast unspoiled beach at Patara, and outdoor activity destinations.

Additional information about rental rates

  • We prefer a lower occupancy and offer a discount, in the summer season, for parties of 1 to 4 persons. The discounted rates for the same base as given in the table above are: April, £700, May £900, Jun £1100, July/Aug £1400, Sept £1200, Oct £1000, Nov £800, Dec - Mar £650. The gardens and pools are maintained daily and housecleaning is done once a week, with a full bed linen and towel change. In addition, beach towels are provided.
  • We are situated about 188 km (about three hours drive) west of Antalya Airport and about 160 km (about two hours drive) southeast of Dalaman Airport. Our prices do not include flights or transfers to or from the airport. However, we can assist with arranging transport to and from either airport.
  • At time of booking, we will send you a copy of our full Booking Conditions. We ask for an initial down-payment of £60 per person, unless booking is made within 10 weeks of arrival, in which case payment is due in full at time of booking. Once the required booking payment is received by us, this constitutes acceptance of our Booking Conditions and a commitment to proceed with the booking. If not already paid in full at time of booking, the remainder of the rental fee is due 10 weeks prior to arrival. A refundable £300 security deposit will be collected upon arrival at the villa, and will be returned within 2 weeks after departure from the villa, depending on the condition of the property.

Access to Kas: Renters may wish to rent a car, as the villa is located approximately 4 km from the town of Kas. However, a car may not be necessary, as a minibus (approx. 1.75 TL per person) runs every half hour in summer, between Kas and a stop on main road a few minutes walk from the villa. Cars and drivers can easily be hired to carry renters to tourist sites around Kas, and numerous travel agencies in Kas also provide transportation and guidance to many tourist sites.

Tranquility in a Spectacular Setting

There are many villas in Kas now, but we didn't see any to rival the setting of this one - perched on the headland of the peninsula forming the Kas bay. There are other villas to the side and above, but you can't see them apart from at the extremities of the terrace so there is a real feeling of seclusion. Peace and quiet too - hardly heard a sound whilst there except for the pool and the sea. Glorious pool, uninterrupted 180 degree views out to sea (constantly changing with the light and weather) and the added bonus of a virtually private "beach" for access to the sea. Inside, the villa is comfortable and well-equipped, tasteful without being ostentatious. There's plenty to do in the surrounding area and decent restaurants in Kas (car recommended), but the location and facilities at the villa are such that it is all too easy to while away time there - the choice is yours. Mehmet visits every day with fresh bread for breakfast and just to check that everything is ok.

So, this comes very highly recommended by us - so much so that we've already booked for next year for some R&R following a tour of eastern Turkey.

Fabulous Villa

We loved our stay at this magnificent villa! The house is spacious, the beds are comfortable, and fantastic views can be seen from almost every room. The villa was very clean and well maintained. We especially enjoyed swimming in the infinity edge pool and the beautiful Mediterranean waters below. The terrace is delightful both at night and during the day with covered areas to enjoy shade. The house has great privacy, yet the view is amazing and varied with boats passing below. We even saw a loggerhead turtle! The owner provided excellent customer service, including arranging for a local cook to prepare delicious meals. We look forward to a return visit soon!

We spent a week here, and loved it. Located at the tip of a peninsula, it’s quiet and private, and the views are wonderful. The villa is beautiful. Very modern and clean. The fixtures, appliances, furnishings are all first class. There was more than enough room for our group of six. We took advantage of the shuttle bus to the nearby town of Kas. Picks up and drops off right at the top of the (steep) driveway. The owner responded quickly to our inquiries, provided detailed instructions regarding the villa, and helped us with useful information on nearby towns and points of interest.

Fantastic house in Kas

This is a beautiful house in a privileged location on the peninsula. The architectural design is brilliant, elegant in a timeless way. We were four adult couples but the big bedrooms and the layout of the house made us feel that we all had our private space. We spent most of the time together by the swimming pool in the outdoors dining area, perfect for breakfast and sunset drinks. The luminous living room and inside dining room must be great for the colder weather. The house is in impeccable condition with a fully equipped kitchen and laundry room.

The private swimming area is just down the cliff from the house, accessible by stairs. We did not notice strong currents.
Kas is a beautiful little town, accessible by a convenient small bus that runs fairly often in the summer. We enjoyed browsing through the shops the quality glass works, ceramics, carpets and antiques. People are extremely polite and make you feel really welcome. The weekly farmers market was a delight of mediterranean food. The archeological sites nearby are a must see.

This was a memorable holiday.

Perfect villa in paradise

We spent our favorite vacation ever at Villa Lacivert. The villa is clean, modern and simple, yet comfortable and offering all the conveniences we required. The owner was very helpful in arranging our stay, and his housekeeper took good care of us. The views from the villa are magnificent and unobstructed, and the swimming (in the pool and in the sea) is fantastic. We felt like kings of the world!
