Our Home is located in Bennett Bay with waterfront beach access. Bennett Bay has one of the nicest sandy beaches on the island. Also it has the trail to Capmbell point which is now part of the recently established Gulf Island National Park Reserve. From Campbell point you view Mt Baker, Tsawwassen and Point Roberts
We have owned this property since 1972. The house was build in 1997.
You can see the deer stroll through our yard all day long. I have seen sea otters on the lawn or a family of otters playing out front in the ocean. View the seals, which love to play hear the steller seal or just watch the boats passing by.
We have a large yard, great for all your favorite lawn games. Partly covered deck also a large deck for enjoying the sun.
Our family spent 4 nights on Mayne Island recently - our first overnight stay on this beautiful island.
Our accommodations were perfect - great view, lots of room, very comfortable, nicely decorated and tons of amenities.
The well-stocked kitchen allowed us to cook all our means with no trouble.
Would not hesitate to visit again.
We enjoyed our stay on Mayne Island so very much. The Island is small, but has all the amenities. We were comfortable and enjoyed staying here. Everything was as promised and the owner was very helpful in seeking out contact information for a fishing charter. The house was clean and well maintained. The view was incredible and the access to the waterfront was not overly difficult. This is a great location for kayaking. I wouldn't recommend the property for people with difficulties walking, but it has lots of space for outdoor activities and for anyone else is an ideal setting.
We (3 couples) rented this house for a late summer getaway and absolutely loved it. The interior is spacious and well designed including a kitchen outfitted with all that you would ever need to make a large, home cooked meal. The house is equipped with an abundance of outdoor seating to lounge on the large deck or huge lawn overlooking the water. The views are spectacular, especially the sun rises - well worth waking up early for! The property is a very short walk (10 minutes) or easy bike ride (3 minutes) to the portion of the Gulf Islands National Park Reserve near Bennett Bay. There is also very easy access to the shoreline, which is walkable in both directions. Trust me, you won't want to leave. The property owners are also very nice and exceptionally easy to deal with.
This is a wonderful vacation rental. We had all our family there which was our two grown daughters, their husbands and children - one 7 year old, two 3 years olds and a baby. We sure loved playing in the yard and going down the little path to the ocean where they swam and did much exploring at low tide. The weather was exceptional so we enjoyed beautiful early morning sunrises and a short walk to the public beach and nearby trail along the ocean. It had everything we needed and felt spacious with the high ceiling in the open space kitchen, dining and living room with lots of windows which made it bright and airy. We did some island exploring - the Japanese garden is very special. Thank you so much for having so many of us there - we did not feel crowded and would for sure think of coming again and recommending it to others.
Just came back from a week from this accommodation, with my family and a few friends.
Absolutely spectacular, is all I can say. We were so lucky with the weather but I can imagine even if it was cold or chilly being happy to cosy up in blankets and gaze out at the amazing view, never got tired of it. The accommodations were fantastic, truly a home away from home, everything you need and more, nice clean and bright, very roomy, fully equipt modern kitchen, lovely big deck, comfortable patio furniture and huge front garden to play badminton, volleyball etc, equipment are all provided.
The island is small, but lots of fun, lots of walks, short but sweet, great views, great for bikes, some of those hills will give you a work out, kayak rentals just five mins up the road, had lots of fun in the bay and paddling out to the smaller islands to see the seals. What a lucky find, hope to go again soon, thank you for sharing your little slice of heaven with us :)
I would highly recommend this if you are looking for a beautiful relaxing get away from it all trip.
