Dunfanaghy Hideaway

Review Submitted: August 11, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
We spent a lovely week at the beginning of August in this quiet part of Donegal. The house was just as described- pristine clean and tidy with brand new towels and bed linen. Very quiet location within walking distance of the town and beach. Great for relaxing and as a base for touring and walking.
Owner's Response: Our aim is always to keep our Clients happy and ensure that our property is presented to a high standard. The house is in a quiet location but as described very close to the village and beach. The property is comparably lower in cost than other holiday rentals in the same area. We feel it is necessary to give our Clients value for money without compromising location, comfort and quality. We welcome all comments and thank everyone who has taken the time to review our property. We will endeavour to keep our promise of satisfaction, at all times.

Great Holiday!

Review Submitted: August 27, 2009 Date of Stay: July 2009
We spent a fantastic week in this house at the end of July 2009. We are a family of five (children aged 5,3 and 1) and we were delighted with the house. It was very clean on arrival and the children loved playing with the toys and scooters! It was well equipped for small children with plastic cups, plates etc. There are many gorgeous beaches and forest parks near by and the town itself is lovely with good services, restaurants, lovely coffee shops, riding school etc.
Our only disappointment with the house was the view. It was not as depicted in the photos which make it look like the beach is right in front of the property within easy walking distance, when infact there are houses in front and there is no access at that point to the beach. The beach is more realistically a two minute drive away when small children are with you. We would however recommend this property and the owners were very friendly and efficient.
Owner's Response: We appreciate all constructive comments. We try to be clear in our description of the property. However, we realise that every one will have there own interpretation of the advert. The property is within a very short walking distance to the village and beach but with young children the time to get there may differ. There is a view from the house but it is much clearer from the two bedrooms which we have outlined in our property description. We take onboard all comments and will continue to ensure our Clients are happy and well informed at all times. Thank you for taking the time to review our property.

Photos unrepresentative

Review Submitted: August 15, 2009 Date of Stay: August 2009
I stayed here with three children and husband 2nd week of August. I fail to see how any more than 5 people could stay here as there is no room for a 6th bed. House is small and not semi detached but terrace town house. Photos were obviously old and outdated as the view is nothing like what's shown, there are now houses built in front of this house, plus an old delapitated building right in front. Could have done with a good clean as dust was thick on skirting boards and grime on walls. Mirror in living room was filthy. I'm afraid I couldn't recommend this property to stay in.
However, this was located in a beautiful part of the country with beautiful beaches fairly close by. There are also some lovely forest parks which are well worth a visit.
Owner's Response: Our Clients are very important to us. The property is professionally cleaned every week. Also, there is clean bedding and towels provided for each new Client - the bedding and towels are sent out to a Laundrette to be cleaned and pressed before each Client arrives. The Client is given the opportunity on their arrival to have a look around the property and express any doubts before commencing their holiday. Each Client is also provided with our contact numbers and our property manager's contact numbers. If they are dissatisfied at any time they can make it known, to us, immediately and it will be sorted out ASAP. We are available for our Clients at all times so unfortunately if they do not make their doubts known to us we can not fix it.
