Listen to the quiet.... Nestled on Waldon Mountain in the heart of the Rappahannock Hunt Country is this fully renovated turn of the century farm house. Follow the stream up the driveway and through the farm gates to this little piece of paradise. The farm consists of 40 rolling acres with beautiful views of Old Rag Mountain, and 40 beautiful forested acres to hike on foot or on horseback. A stable is ready to accommodate your horses. The house features 3 bedrooms, ( 2 queen beads and 2 twins), with 2 full baths, a gourmet kitchen, family room, library and formal dinning room. 2 zone H&C keep you cool in summer and toasty in winter. Enjoy satellite TV and internet to re-connect if you choose. A short ride takes you to Old Rag Mountain, White Oak Canyon and a number of wineries offering entertainment and wine tastings. Nighttime brings out the stars that will amaze and delight you.

Less than one hour away is LuRay Caverns, historic Monticello and the University in Charlottsville, and Culpeper. World class entertainment can be enjoyed at Castleton. The Inn at Little Washington becons the food afficianado as well as Culperer's It's About Time and Copper Fish. Shopping and antiquing can be enjoyed in Sperryville. Ride your bike, bring your horse or just meander through the natural beauty that is Ashton Farm.

Once you visit Rappahannock County you may never want to live anywhere else. That's what happened to me back in 1997. Rappanannock has a spiritual quality about it. It's impossible to define. Look at the mountains, watch a golden eagle soar by, smell the mountain laurel and you'll know what I mean. I spent 2 years waiting for the perfect piece of land to become available and that is when I found Ashton Farm. I quit my job in Reston and moved to the country to learn how to farm and give my young daughter a peaceful place to grow up. I became a goat farmer. Then added sheep, pigs, chickens and turkeys. All rare heritage breeds that I carefully researched and enjoyed raising. My daughter and I have wonderful memories of our years at Ashton Farm and we hope you will enjoy it too.
