Kihei Condo Rental Photos and Description
Remodeled in 2012, spacious 1 BR 1 BA condo, sleeps 4.
Thank you for taking the time to check out my vacation rental offering! I chose this condo because of its comfortable size in a quiet community. The location is perfect if your vacation involves beach time plus sightseeing.
The unit is one bedroom plus a queen sleeper sofa in the living room, accommodating up to four people. There is an oversized lounge chair and ottoman, matching tables and updated lighting, and a new flat screen TV and DVD player in case you are worn out from you day on the beach and want to relax and watch a movie. The dining area has a new table and chairs that match the living room decor. The unit has clean, fresh tile in the living, dining, and lanai areas and comfy carpet in the bedroom. The tropical decor reflects the laid-back Maui lifestyle while at the same time is stylish and current.
The kitchen features granite counter-tops and all new appliances. It is fully equipped with everything from coffee maker to barbecue tools to wine glasses, and a supply of basic spices is in the cabinet in case you decide to do some cooking. All of the small appliances are new.
The bedroom is being designed to have a very soft, restful ambiance, with new bedroom furnishings and lighting. There is a flat screen TV in the bedroom, and a spacious walk-in closet so there is plenty of room in which to make yourself at home.
The unit stays comfortable thanks to its location and orientation - you will get lots of wonderful ocean breezes. But, in case it gets a bit warm, there is air-conditioning in the living room and ceiling fans throughout the unit. There is also a portable fan that I use to help circulate air conditioned air to the bedroom on those few days a year when the trade winds die down and it is a bit warmer than I like. One of the great things about Maui...even on the warmest of days, the cool breezy evenings are wonderfully comfortable.
One of my favorite parts of the condo is the Lanai. It is nice and spacious, and is oriented so that it looks out over the complex's putting green and gardens. From the Lanai, you are about 200 feet from Kihei Road, which is a relatively quiet two-lane road at this end of town. Just beyond the road is Kalepoleo Beach Park - there are fair number of trees in the park, but on one side you look out across an stretch of sand to the ocean. The West Maui Mountain is the backdrop for the section of Ma'alaea Bay.
You will also find plenty of amenities to make your stay comfortable and easy, including beach chairs, coolers, boogie boards, beach towels, free calls to US and Canada, WiFi, and digital cable. You can also take advantage of the lending library...take a book to read if you need one, leave ones you have finished for the next guest. And there is a Blockbuster just up the road if you want to check out some DVDs.
Kihei Bay Vista is a gem of a complex - quiet and comfortable, beautifully maintained, and centrally located. There are only 60 units in the complex which allows for a peaceful ambiance. This unit is in an ideal spot within the community...not too close to Kihei Road (I don't like road noise that may come being closer to the road!), but still with a bit of ocean view. The unit's first floor location keeps the unit comfortable if you prefer to fresh air to air-conditioning. It is also close to the roomy pool, hot tub, and barbecue areas, but not right over them, so it stays quiet. The pool area offers plenty of seating, including a covered seating area where you can relax after a tough day at the beach! I have been told the pool is heated to keep it comfortable for swimming in the winter months. Parking is plentiful, and access to the unit is easy, with just a few stairs up to the door.
I try to do a little bit to enhance the unit each time I visit - November, 2013, I updated lighting and a few other updates in the bathroom, new ceiling fans, and a few other touches. In the interest of full disclosure - I have not yet remodeled the bathroom, so it still has an old-style shower insert and glass doors and the original cabinetry...but plans are in the works! Just recently, new vertical blinds were put up in the living room, and the air conditioner was replaced.
My unit is professionally managed by a company that is located just blocks away from the complex should any issues arise during your stay. But, if you want to reach out to me personally with any questions you may have, please feel free to do so by emailing me.

My name is Ellen, and I live in land-locked Colorado...I fell in love with Hawaii on my first visit about 15 years ago, and try to visit as often as I can. I am fortunate in being able to spend more time on island now than ever, as I just took an early retirement from my job as a Project Manager at a major financial institution. I now get to play more and take the occasional consulting job...I love taking conference call sitting on the beach!!
I have spent a fair amount of time in Maui and played tour-guide to friends more than once. I know the island well and am happy to share suggestions on activities, places to see, dining, etc., with my guests. I have also been to all the other visitable islands if you are considering island-hopping. Please be sure to check out the Welcome Book in the unit, which includes some suggestions for excursions, close-by restaurants, and other information you may find helpful during your stay. If you would like to discuss the unit with me personally, my number is included in the contact information or you can email me at email@example.com.
When I decided to buy in Maui, I knew right away that Kihei was where I wanted to be...the location can't be beat. I looked at the resorts to the north and south, and decided the fun, funky Kihei area was more to my liking. I enjoy sightseeing all over the island and like to spend days on different beaches, so the great location of Kihei Bay Vista was a real plus. The complex is lovely, the proximity to Sugar Beach is awesome for my long walks, and the pool is a great place to relax after a day of running around or playing in the waves. The boutique feel of Kihei Bay Vista offers everything from a romantic get away to a safe and fun spot for the kids. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
When I was trying to pick out my vacation home, one requirement was to have a least a little ocean view, which is hard to find in Maui without breaking the bank! So I just love the lanai. I also like the spacious feel of the condo and location in the complex. I looked at the units with slightly better views, but they were too close to the road for my liking, so this one was just perfect. It has easy access because its on the first floor (no lugging suitcases up a loooong flight of steps!). Although on the ground floor, the unit is raised a bit, and since it is a few feet off the ground, on the bottom floor, and the oriented in toward the beach it gets wonderful ocean breezes - the unit stays comfortable and always cools off at night. Just perfect!
