This is a special holiday where you may sample the traditional Portuguese lifestyle. You can hear the sheep's bells as they pass over the hills and chickens roam freely around the little cottages and yucca trees of the hamlet. It is perfect for those wanting to relax in a warm climate with beautiful surroundings and the ideal place to escape and unwind. House has a jacuzzi bath and dishwasher, 2 shower rooms and huge covered veranda where you can sit surrounded by exotic plants. The house has its own walled garden with vines and a variety of fruit trees. Whatever season you go in there is sure to be something available for you to pick and sample whether it is luscious grapes, peaches, oranges, strawberries, pears or plums. Paddling pool available.

Monte do Sambro is located 45 mins from Faro,10 mins from the IC1 and A2 motorway, providing easy access to the Algarve and Western coastal areas. Nearby towns Ourique and Almdovar are fast developing as tourist attractions as well as being of immense historical and cultural interest. There are regular local markets to explore. Castro da Cola is an ancient settlement and surrounded by lovely walking country and many local cafe’s and bars to offer refreshment where it is inexpensive to sample the local food and wines. There is fishing and boating on Santa Clara Lake, and horseback riding on the doorstep. The house is located in an area of Ecological Reserve accessed by any vehicle on a Portugese mountain road, non-tarmaced for approximately 4 kms. The wildlife is of special interest with many rare species of bird, amphibian and even wild boar and deer. The hillsides are planted with olive, cork, oak and eucalyptus trees. Nearest golf 40 mines.
