The cottage is a fully renewed old house, ca 70m2 + guesthouse, 9 m2. The cottage comes with sauna, jacuzzi and barbecue area. It is fully equipped with television, DVD, cooker and washing-up machine. Bedlinen and towels are provided. Accommodation for up to 8 persons. The cottage is ca 1 1/2 hour drive from the city Reykjavik. It's located in the south side of the country and there are many places of interest in the neighbourhood, like waterfalls, glaciers, Westman islands, volcano Hekla, Geysir and waterfall Gullfoss. The cottage is also surrounded by many historical places from the old Icelandic saga, Njála. The area is very beautiful and peaceful but you have also an easy access (within 15 kilometres) to many kinds of activities and services, for example horse rental, swimming pool, shops, restaurants, golf, & healthcare service. You can enjoy sitting on the porch overlooking large part of the south coast of Iceland, including glacier and Westman islands.

Fantastic property, amazing place to stay

Everything as described. Beautiful, clean property in a fantastic quiet rural location with amazing views. Very well placed for all the 'must see' locations in Iceland. It was my first visit to the country but I'd love to come back here as it is in a great place for walking too, which I didn't have enough time to do. I'd have been really happy here without the jacuzzi and sauna but they really made it special- watching the sunset in the hot tub...didn't want to leave. Lovely owners too. I can't think of anything negative to say at all. I went with my wife, a 70 year old and a 17 month old, we were all very comfortable, safe and had loads more space than we needed. Go there!
