This apartment is on 3th floor of a centenary building with 1 double bedroom and a twin bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and a bright living room. Located in a very typical and historic area on one of Lisbon’s seven hills. Across the road you find a typical Portuguese bakery, I'll recommend you to try Pão da Avó (Grandmother’s Bread). Within a 5 minute walk you are in the castle; on the opposite side at the same distance, you get to various museums and monuments. You also cannot miss the exciting city tour, taking the famous tram No. 28, it stops 50 m from the apartment. All kind of restaurants, shop and important churches and museums are easily accessible by walk.

Since it largely survived the earthquake of 1755, the area still retains much of its original layout. Adjacent to the Alfama are the likewise old quarters of Castelo and Mouraria, on the western and northern slopes of the hill that is crowned by St. George's Castle. Every year in June, the streets of all three quarters come alive with the feasts in honour of the popular saints. The Graça quarter and the churches of São Vicente de Fora and Santa Engrácia are within walking distance of this area. Radiant skies brighten the monumental city, with its typical tile covered building façades and narrow.
