Located on the tranquil shores of Sooke Basin guests are never far from the rain forest trails and Vancouver Island’s rugged west coast. East Sooke and the surrounding communities offer great opportunities to enjoy an extensive trail and park system by bike or on foot. There also coastal wilderness hiking trails where you discover rugged outcroppings, tidal pools, pounding waves, peaceful lonely beaches and wonderful mountain vistas. Whale watching tours offer great opportunities to see seals, sea lions, orca whales and sea birds during the season. While sport fishing for salmon or halibut you will see both marine life and wonderful ocean and mountain vistas. After a busy day, returning home to all the comforts well appointed living area, fully equipped kitchen, wireless high speed Internet, cable TV and comfortable bedroom can be very rejuvenating. The main floor also has a large Master Bedroom and en-suite. There is a bedroom and en-suite on the third floor and two more attractive bedrooms and a large games room on the ground floor. If you are looking for easy biking or walking the Galloping Goose Trail is also close by. This local 10km wilderness trail is considered one of Canada's premier day hikes. The trail is a rough winding 6 hour trip challenging even experienced hikers.
