The LivingApple is a family business, situated in a sunny position in the Gaeta Gulf, among Rome and Naples, near the old city-centre of Minturno (ca. 700 mts). Furthermore LivingApple is not situated on the main road. It is very close to the most charming spots of Gaeta Gulf. LivingApple is a convenient point for walking (along the beach or in the mountains), biking and shopping. The bus stops are 1000 m away. Scauri is only 1,2 km away and here you can find everything that you will need; pharmacy, travel agency, supermarket, bank, post office and restaurants. The railway station (Minturno-Scauri) is 1,5 km away. For the sportsmen we can give advice on the area, free maps showing the best tours, detailed weather forecasts, as well as bike/windsurfer rental, bike repairs and windsurfing. The geographical position of the LivingApple is ideal for visiting the famous 'cities of art', Naples, Pompei, Paestum, Amalfi Coast, Sorrento, Capri, Rome.

Our Place In The Sunshine

We have been back for about 2 weeks now and just yesterday my 15 year old daughter says "I miss Scauri and the house there. The beautiful view from the apartment and the very large terrace where you could see the mountains right infront of us". We all got together and spoke about what a great time we had in Scouri and area and in our apartment. My husband keeps saying almost daily" I even miss the keotic traffic. It was fun driving there". When we first got there we were alittle intimidated by the driving but now we miss it. We also miss the daily sunshine the closeness to the beach, the warm air the views and THE FOOD. Great resturant was El Pinus best food around geat service and really great prices.

The location of the house is excellent. It is in a beautiful Villa area with lots of green and an elektric private gate. Our daught took three young girls her age with us and we never felt that anything could happen to us. The girls love the terrace and sometimes we had to force them to leave to go to the beach.

The beach is nice, but we didn't like the Lidos. These are the areas that have sun umbrellas and chairs for rent. They are quit expensive. We bought two sun umbrellas for 15 Euro for both and went to the open beach areas. Maria (landlord) did a really good job of explaining where we could go. Also the shopping was easy to reach. There is a shopping mall about 10 min from the apartment.

A car in my opinion would be necessary unless you don't mind walking about a good kilometer to the beaches. Then you have 4 kilometers of beach front also. To get to Scouri center you have to go downhill all the way, which means coming back loaded is not so nice. Anyways there are so many things to see around the area you wouldn't want to be without a car.
