My husband and I spent an amazing week at the Treehouse on Green Turtle Cay. If you're in to glitzy, hip, resort-style destinations, this is not your spot. However, if you want crystal clear aqua water, tranquility, majestic views, and a real Bahamian village nearby, this is the place! A bit extra effort was involved in the travel (two plane trips for us, then a taxi from the airport on Treasure Cay to catch the ferry over to Green Turtle), but it was easy to arrange, and, oh, so worth the trouble!
The cottage is lovely, immaculate, well-maintained, and now that a new screened porch has been added, Seaturtle Treehouse has it all! Bring swimsuits and a camera...all you're really need.
Cannot say enough about our stay...boating to near-by islands, dining on local fare in authentic restaurants, walking miles along undisturbed beaches, shopping for hand-made wares in the historic and colorful town of New Plymouth, snorkeling among tropical fish in the Sea of Abaco, right off the Seaturtle's pier...it was an unforgettable trip.
