Seaturtle Treehouse is a 2 bedroom/2 bath cottage on the Sea of Abaco. It sleeps 4-6 comfortably with 1 queen bed, 2 twin beds, and a pull out queen sleeper. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to enjoy meals at home.
Seaturtle has central AC, ceiling fans, free wifi, and a TV and DVD player with a small library of movies and books.
The wrap around deck provides beautiful views of the water and gorgeous sunsets and the dock provides a sunny spot to swim, watch the colorful fish, or just relax with a book and a cold drink.
The large screened porch has hammock swings and table and chairs for relaxing out of the sun and dining al fresco. A charcoal grill is provided for outdoor cooking.
We live in North Carolina and have been coming to Green Turtle Cay since 1998. We love it here and look forward to sharing our home with you.
Susan and Tim Marshall purchased this cottage in 2005
We bought our treehouse because it is located at our most favourite part of a lovely island. It is tranquil and beautiful. We love boating, bonefishing, swimming and eating the local fare.
We love relaxing on the dock or in our screened porch.
Stressed? Need to get away-from-it-all? Then Seaturtle Treehouse on Green Turtle Cay is the place for you to relax, unwind and nourish your soul. The owners, Susan and Tim were great. They answered all of our questions, emailed during our stay and really helped us out when there was a bit of confusion on our part about logistics. The property managers, Michael and Jennifer of Abaco Breeze Properties could not have been more helpful. They met us at the ferry dock to take us to the property and became our friends on the island.
The treehouse is located in a serene and private setting on the calm Sea of Abaco. Metal and wood beams and glass walls provide architectural interest to this handsome two story octagonal structure.
The living area is on the upper level with fantastic views and access to the wrap around deck from every room. The home is very clean, tastefully decorated and equipped with high-quality linens. The recently remodeled kitchen is beautiful and equipped with everything you need for your stay. We appreciated the games, books and DVDs and had a blast without tv.
The screened-in lower level, with chaise lounges, swing chairs and a bonus dining area, is the perfect place to bring-on your zen, whatever that might be for you.
The walkway leads to a shared dock on the sea. Overnight rental boat mooring and fishing is not permitted, but it was great to be able to swim and snorkel right from the dock.
We have traveled a lot and are now spoiled by GTC. The island is undeveloped and naturally beautiful. Snorkling was fantastic. But above all else, the people were so warm. We especially enjoyed the food and friendly staff McIntosh's restaurant - we thought the food portions and quality were better than served at a local fancy-schmancy restaurant. Sunset marine boat rental family and staff could not have been nicer. Kool Karts golf cart rental folks were great.
We found our paradise!!
With an updated kitchen and all the amenities of home, my second visit to Seaturtle Treehouse was wonderful! The addition of the screened porch with swinging chairs provides great views of the sea and sunset! Whip up a batch of margaritas and head for the dock to watch the fish swim by as the sky burns a majestic pink glow. I'll be back soon!
Another lovely week on Green Turtle. Beautiful weather and lots of great diving with Brendal. The SeaTurtle Treehouse is adorable and it was the perfect size for the two of us. From the web site we thought it had a private dock but the dock is actually shared with other cottages nearby so that's the main reason it only got 4 stars. Also there were a few things we are used to getting with other houses that we thought should have been provided (like a cooler). And we were told when we got there that we were provided with one roll of toilet paper and then we had to buy our own. Not a big deal (kind of humorous actually) but personally I'd rather just pay a little more for a property and have everything provided. Aside from those few things we were happy with the house and thought it was really cute and clean.
The treehouse was perfect. Top floor has great views. Second Floor had a great screened in deck with fans to keep you cool and out of the sun. Great Location. Property managers were extremely nice and had everything prepared for us upon arrival and departure. All we had to do was show up and enjoy the island.
My son and I have made an effort to vacation in the Bahamas as often as circumstance and money allow. Between us, we have visited three of the other Bahamian islands and half-a-dozen Caribbean locations. This will be our go to place from now on.
For me GTC had everything I was looking for and the Seaturtle Treehouse met not only our needs but the setting was the final marvelous touch. Marina, beautiful beaches, night life are all close by and our fishing guide picked us up at our dock (sweet).
More over, both residents and visitors were extremely friendly, the logistics were handled exceptionally, both island and house were wonderful surprises, and we had a great time.
It has taken me a while to get around to leaving this review but trust me, it is no reflection on the property (more on my laziness!). As a matter of fact, we just booked it again for this year.
The island itself is delightful, the people are so friendly and everything is just what a vacation should be - comfortable and laid back. Be sure you go to Sid's market and try the absolute best bread... we even took some home with us!
As for the house, it is quite frankly perfect. It is cozy but it suited us well and I think it would have been comfortable with another couple also. The views from all parts of the house are what the islands are all about - stunning views!!! One of my favorite places is the lower enclosed deck with the swinging chairs - perfect spot for reading. The other favorite is coffee on the dock in the morning. Heaven!!!
I see in other reviews that the driveway has been paved - we called it our thrill ride!
I really cannot say enough about this wonderful house. If you are looking for a secluded, quite, BEAUTIFUL place to get away - this is it.
We are so excited to be going back and are counting the days!
Enjoy the beautiful view of The Sea of Abaco from inside the Treehouse or outside on the wrap around deck and large screened porch. Walk down a few steps and you can swim right off the shared private dock in the crystal clear water, or relax with a book and a cold drink. The sunsets from here are magnificent!
There are many activities available on the island including boating, fishing, snorkeling, scuba diving and swimming. Be sure to visit the gorgeous white sand beaches of Gillam Bay, Ocean Beach, and Coco Bay. Bonefishing with experienced guides and boating trips are available and can be arranged in advance. Bicycles and golf carts are available for rent to explore the island and the historic town of New Plymouth. There you will find grocery and liquor stores, restaurants, a museum, sculpture garden and gift shop.
Enjoy the local fare in the restaurants- be sure not to miss the delicious conch fritters and other local specialties!
Boats are available for rent so you can explore the neighboring cays.
