Photos and Description of the Aimargues vacation house rental
2 Bedroom Tower / 2 Bedroom Annexe Sleep 6/10

In quiet secluded private 1 acre wooded grounds, our beautifully restored 19th century Tower provides sun or shade for lazing around or eating under the pergola . After a day at the beach or sightseeing , the cicadas song will enchant you . Indoors, its whitened stone walls give a feeling of being away from it all .The tower has its own private entrance (chemin de la gandole) and ample parking spaces. Secluded and invisible from the main property occupied by the owners (100 m away) it offers privacy as well as easy contact if needed. In Summer ''Le Cabanon' a charming , well equipped summer annex (30m2 ) with two bedrooms , shower-room and separate toilet adds flexibility. Children love exploring and playing in the one acre grounds , while teenagers can use the little train five minutes away to reach the beach in 15 mns or Nîmes in 30 mns (5 a day and more coaches from village centre) Our pool is at the disposal of guests when they wish . Who has never dreamt of a tower?

Flexibility for 'la tour' and' le cabanon': 'Le Cabanon 'an annex to the tower offers extra accommodation during the high summer season and school

holidays because some families are keen to share their holidays with friends or family (Up to ten people for both )They are happy to enjoy this country atmosphere so near the beaches ..The tower rented on it's own is an extremely romantic place and is very suited to couples for honeymoon holidays , depending on the time of the year. It is also ample for one or two families ( maximum of six people). Do not hesitate to contact us so we shall be pleased to give you more information and will make sure to meet your very own requirements.

Close by...: Aimargues is a typical ' Petite Camargue ' village surrounded by open countryside superb for country walks or bicycle rides . Surrounded by a secular tree - lined promenade, it makes for a very pleasant village walk, In the heart of the village, they are charming old houses in narrow streets. It is well provided with three bakeries, two butchers, two vegetable shops, one chemist, two doctors, three hairdressers , two newspaper and tobacco shops ,two supermarkets,a post - office , two restaurants and typical local cafés etc... And,just near, there are hill-top villages, like Gallargues -le -Montueux , Aubais, etc ... all really worth a visit. Close by, the unspoilt fauna and flora of the Camargue ;In Aigues-Mortes, the intact walled city of Saint Louis, from where he departed for the Crusades ,do not miss the grand salt mountains and in the pink waters of the marshes ,the pink flamingos are stunning .Carry on to the beach of 'Espiguette so wild and vast for super walks at all seasons.

It has large outbuildings one part is now used as an artist's studio . Visit welcomed !. Guests are also invited in Summer to use the owners' pool at guests' convenience . The Aimargues and other local wines are on sale in the old cooperative building 50 metres away from the tower's grounds own entrance. In case of a harsher weather (it does happen sometimes ,even by the Med), some electric heaters can be provided if needed . Out of Summer ,walks or horse riding on the wonderful wild Camargue beaches and marshes are invigorating and the crispness of the skies is really stunning.

Fantastic property and beautiful area

Submitted: August 7, 2011 Stayed: July 2011
We have just returned from a wonderful holiday in Aimargues (23.7.2011 to 6.8.2011). We used both the tower and adjoining cabanon. Our 20 year old daughter and boyfriend enjoyed the independence of having the cabanon to stay in. The owners Francoise and Terry and their family (and cats!) were extremely welcoming and generous hosts and nothing was too much trouble. We were very grateful for the kind gifts of tomatoes, herbs and vegetables from their garden.

The tower and cabanon had everything we needed. The garden offers a wonderful mixture of sun and shade in an informal setting with the added bonus of a ping pong table and boules piste. The swimming pool is a very short walk away across the garden and offers a welcome opportunity to cool off and relax.

The area itself is wonderful and the tower is a perfect base for exploring the Carmague and seaside resorts as well as towns and cities like Nimes and Arles. Even in a two week stay we really felt we needed more time to do and visit everything which the area had to offer. We were sad to have to leave! One word of warning is that the roads to Grau du Roi get very very busy in July/August so our tip is to go early or go late!

We can't thank Terry and Francoise enough for their hospitality and wonderful opportunity to stay in this lovely place.

Rapunzels Tower - modern, elegant & relaxing

Rapunzels Tower - modern, elegant & relaxing

We stayd at the tower in Aimargues for 2 weeks in June. Unfortunately the weather was unlikely bad for the first 4 days but therefore the house and ground was superb.
We (4 adults and 3 children at the age of 1-3) enjoyed the time in the tower very much. The elegant and very tasteful decor made it easy to relax and the HUGE and closed garden was perfect for the children to run around without watching them the whole time. The equipment was great: sunchairs in all sizes, an open fireplace, an induction - oven in the kitchen, toys and books for the kids, a barbecue with wine-woods for heating, a washingmachine and very cool and nice landlords!! We will definetely come back!!
Thanks again to Terry & Francoise for the wonderful weeks at Aimargues.

We loved it - and our kids, too!

We spent two weeks in the tower and had a fantastic time. We came with our daughters, aged 1 and 2, and friends who brought their son, aged 2. Even for the seven (!) of us, the tower and cabanon are comfortable and spacy enough.
The tower itself has two large bedrooms, a bathroom and the living room and is simply beautiful. The cabanon has two more bedrooms (one large, one small) and a bathroom. Everything is freshly renovated and in fabulous condition.
The garden is huge and fully fenced - which is helpful when travelling with children. There is a separate BBQ area, which was frequently used.
The property is a charming and relaxed getaway slightly outside of Aimargues. We found it to be an excellent base for daytrips to Montpellier, Sete, Nimes, Arles, Aix, Avignon or even Marseille. The beaches in Grau-du-Roi are nice - and not even too packed during June. There is something for everyone - beach, culture, nature, shopping.
So, the setting is right for very enjoyable holidays. And then you have Francoise and Therry together with their children, who will do their best to make you feel at home. They are very open minded, international and helpful in every sense.

In brief: we had an exceptionally good time and the tower is highly recommended.

Perfect well designed tower

5 of 5
Submitted: December 14, 2009 Stayed: October 2009
I picked out the tower for a late booking in October as from the web site it looked like an interesting building and was in the heart of a part of France we knew to be full of places to explore. It turned out to be so much more and far better than we expected.

We were not disappointed the tower is in well designed in its own private grounds.

The tower is very much as described no actually its far superior. But by far its best asset are Françoise and Terry who are the perfect hosts.

The tower as well as being close to the sea is also perfect for if you want to tour the local area Nimes, Arles, Avignon & Montpellier are famous spots but don’t overlook the less well known such as Aigues-Mortes.

Don’t delay pay your deposit, this tower is sure to get booked up early!
