Villa Rana - This very private villa - in the heart of the country but only 10mins from Ahaurin el Grande - was originally an old Spanish 'finca' (cottage) that this has been lovingly restored and extended to provide extremely spacious accommodation with some very special features. Built on the hillside, this lovely villa has been cleverly designed to make the most of the outstanding views. The main living room and all three spacious double bedrooms (one with en-suite bathroom) have what can only be described as ' living picture windows'. The three bedrooms are situated off a wide hallway, at the end of which is a separate full bathroom. Off the living room, through a curtained archway, is a stunning dining hall, with slanting beamed ceiling. A door then leads into the well-fitted kitchen, with pine-beamed ceiling and the cottage's original stone flagged floor. Ceiling fans for the summer and a wood burner for the winter evenings. Outdoor living : Throughout the house all floors are covered in rich quarry-style tiles giving a cooling effect in summer and warmth in winter. The traditionally thick walls of the building also enhance these features. Outdoor living is the theme for most of the year with patio doors leading from both the living room and dining room to the terrace (with brick-built barbecue). This is dominated by a magnificent palm tree and is a perfect spot for lounging and eating while taking in the surrounding scenery. Steps from here lead down to a lower terrace with the swimming pool and ample space for sunbathing. The villa is surrounded by countryside yet is within a 10 minute minute walk of a couple of Spanish bars/restaurants, 25 minutes' drive to beaches, and within 5 minutes drive of the lively local town which has a host of amenities, including supermarkets and tapas bars and a wide range of restaurants. A welcome pack of coffee, tea, bread, milk, eggs, etc. will be supplied for clients' convenience.

very well equipped and clean villa.
The road to the villa is an adventure in itself not for the faint hearted. If you want a get away from it all villa this is the one for you.
I would say that it is a bit further thn 20 minutes from the coast as well.
All in all a good sized clean and excellently equipped villa with good sixed pool ( and drinks cabinet!!)
