This will be an experience that we and our children will never forget! The cabin was absolutely beautiful and had some wonderful features! It was very spacious and clean. The children had a great time with the games and the crafts that were there. We read reviews and seen that everybody was explaining how the photos don't do the cabin justice and I must agree!!! We walked in and were so surprised of how up to date and gorgeous it was! Also, there are a lot of places to visit near here. I urge everyone to go to the safari park! We all loved that! we were all very happy with everything! :-)
The home was exactly as described, although the pictures don't really do justice to how open and spacious it feels. We had 5 kids and 6 adults and never once felt crowded or without enough room. Nice to have many spaces where smaller groups could retreat to for space. Very conveniently located, but remote enough to feel very private.
The home is exactly as pictured on the web site. It is in a serene location, decorated beautifully, close enough to Lynchburg to hop in and out for the graduation festivities. The property is so relaxing and the furnishings are great to sit around and enjoy each others company yet there is great space to break away for quiet time. The leather couches and chairs in the family room were extremely comfortable. The beds are very comfortable. We enjoyed not having the TV in the family room which generated a lot of conversation with the family yet the TV and all you need to enjoy if you like is in the loft on the second floor. We did not have an opportunity to hike the trails on the 20 acres, but we are sure it would be fun. It was great having a door to close leading down to the ground level. We had a 1 year old toddler so you did not have to worry about the steps at all.
We went to Walton's Mountain for a visit. It was interesting hearing my nieces and nephews who are in their 20's not knowing who the Walton's were.
We would definitely go back to this location.
Our family came from various states and gathered in this wonderful home for our son's wedding. It was simply perfect! Because of the size of the home and the variety of amenities we were able to have many moments of reconnecting, even with the busyness of wedding preparations. The outdoor setting was beautiful. The home was beautiful, clean, comfy, and cozy. We would certainly stay here again!!!
Our family recently spent the weekend in this beautiful home while attending a wedding near Lynchburg. The only regret is that we could not stay longer! The furnishings, appliances, and electronics are top quality and the decor complete. This would be a great location for an extended family gathering. There are several areas for folks to congregate- and also places to find a quiet corner. The master suite with its huge bathroom (including a jacuzzi tub and walk in shower) is lovely. And although it is not stated, there is also a jacuzzi soaking tub in the shared bath on the lower level. Heather was very helpful in answering questions promptly and making the reservation. We would definitely recommend this property to others and hope to return ourselves!
We recently stayed at this beautiful log cabin for a friends' getaway weekend, and it could not have been more perfect. The pictures definitely do not do this place justice, as it is so much bigger and nicer than you can imagine.
The kids all had a blast playing video games (there are SIX arcade games, including old school classics like Ms. PacMan) and feeding the ducks at the pond. With the way the house is laid out, it perfectly suited all the kids sleeping in the basement since the adults liked to have fun past the kids' bedtime. As for the adults, we had a wonderful stay. The kitchen/dining area/living room were all blended into one great room so that we could hang out together while different people were cooking and enjoying cocktails. The house was spotlessly clean, with very nice bed linens and towels, which is not always the case. My husband and I had the good fortune to have the master bedroom on the main floor which was spacious and comfortable. The master bathroom was HUGE with a big soaking jacuzzi tub and a nice stand-up shower.
The house is nicely located in that it seems deep in the country (we kept joking that we heard banjos) but quite close to Lynchburg, which is about a 10 minute drive away. The honest truth is that we had all planned to go into Lynchburg on the Saturday of our stay for a craft beer festival, but we loved the house too much to leave. So, just a couple of us ran to town for a grocery run, and its proximity made that very convenient.
More than anything, what made our stay here so great was that the owner, Heather, was wonderfully nice and accommodating. We had a couple of special requests and lots of questions leading up to our stay, and she was not only responsive but also gracious, which made our stay that much better.
We are already looking to our return trip, and thanks so much for sharing your beautiful home! We have created memories for a lifetime!
