Things to do: Les coteaux du Chalet is situated in the middle of vineyards offering a wide variety of local wine. You can see, feel, touch and taste before you buy the wine. There are organised visits to the big caves to see how the wine is made with wine tasting afterwards. Also nearby: a lot of places to visit: Chinon: Castle of Chinon, the town. Angers: with is museum, castle and the beautiful city. Saumur: a very nice town on the bank of the Loire, and the equation centre of Europe. Doué La Fontaine: The zoo of Doué 10 minutes. The best in Europe. Poitiers: Futuroscope. Cholet: Puy du fou, and the vendée. Fishing & Bird watching: Les coteaux du Chalet is set at a 2 km river frontage, offering a very good site for those who like fishing, with a variety of 7 species of fish in the river from Sander to Cat Fish. And also have 7 hectares of woodlands where you can find about 50 varieties of birds for those who like bird watching and the feel of the fresh nature.
Golf: Montreuil Bellay is one of the 33 beautiful villages in France near 3 golf courses: Saumur, 10 minutes away and it is a 9 wholes course. St. Hilaire, near Fonteveraud, Direction Loudun, 15 minutes away and it is an 18 wholes course. Angers: 45 minutes away, and it offer a 18 wholes course. All courses are open all year and they offer weekly rates or week end rates. Also golf equipments can be hired on site. Guest Book: Very nice holiday with very nice people that give you a very good service. Montreuil Bellay is very nice village with its beautiful castle, gardens and the town it worth a visit. Nice place and nice area everything is nearby, especially the golf course. I enjoyed my games and my wife enjoyed her tan by the pool. Thank you.
