Quality bungalow apartment in quiet location on outskirts of historic town. Rosamund Pilcher and Daphne du Maurier country. Good restaurants and old fashioned pubs within walking distance. Nearby is Eden project,18 hole Golf course, Lanhydrock cycle trails.Lost gardens of Heligan, Quaint harbours of Polperro, Fowey, Mevagissey, and Charlestown-tall ships often moored here. South coast footpath, Bodmin Moor, steam railway, Shipwreck centre Well equipped,crisp white bed linen and towels included in rent, Elec and heating included, travel cot available on request, own parking,cream tea and food/drink hamper on bookings of 7 nights or more. Courtyard seating area. No smoking, No pets. changeover day Friday. Easy access to main A30 road, Main-line station within walking distance.

Lostwitiel is perfectly located to access both the North and South coasts and the quaint fishing harbours. The area is full of attractions including the mines on Bodmin moor, Eden project and historic houses. Jamaica Inn made famous by author Daphne Du Maurier is worth a visit to sample the atmosphere and food.

Perfect spring break!

This little apartment was the best ever! Spotlessly clean with gorgeous white bed linen and towels - also beach towels provided! The welcome card, flowers and superb hamper gave a lovely personal touch. Quiet location yet easy walk into town for shops and eating out. We chose the location to enable us to visit friends and family out of season thus avoiding the summer crowds. Visited Heligan and Fowey. We love Cornwall! Warm sunshine nearly every day was an added bonus to a wonderful holiday.

Short Break in Driftwood

We had a lovely 3 night stay at this delightful accommodation. The property was better than expected and spotlessly clean. Very well equipped and bedding linen and towels of excellent quality. Ideally situated for touring central Cornwall, and the rest isn't that far away. The town is a short walk away, although the walk back up the hill is steep and could be a challenge for the less able. Plenty of places to eat and drink, with preference being the closest pub, The Royal Oak, although they didn't provide food on Monday evenings, when we were there. Maybe different in peak season.

Fabulous!

Just a few miles away from the Eden Project itself, Driftwood is a true Eden! The apartment is exceptionally clean, warm, stylishly decorated, spacious and well equipped; and the welcome-hamper of essential (and local!) foods is a nice touch to ease one into one's holiday. The huge bed is wonderfully comfortable, and the guest house is in a quiet location, so we slept like a pair of logs!

Jan and Steve are very friendly, welcoming and helpful, but not intrusive.

The apartment is only a few minutes' walk from the town centre with pubs, restaurants, supermarkets and the train station at hand. The views of the surrounding hills and valleys are breathtaking, and the sea is also a short drive away.

The whole experience was marvellously relaxing and restorative - we will be going back in the summer.

Our stay at Driftwood was perfect. This beautiful little apartment is ideally situated, with easy access to all parts of Cornwall. Lostwithiel is the perfect market town. The locals are friendly and there are lots of nice places to eat. We can highly recommend a trip to Bedruthen Steps as this is a great walk, perfect little beach and amazing views over the sea. The Eden Project is a must see.

A fantastic little hideaway

Driftwood apartment is a beautiful holiday house in the fantastic town of Lostwithiel. The apartment has everything that you could wish for in a weeks holiday. It was clean and tidy, the hosts were extremely helpful. They provided us with a warm welcome, and were brilliant at giving us information on places to go, they have a perfect insight into Cornwall, which proved invaluable.

Lostwithiel is in a prime location, which meant that it was easy to explore all areas of Cornwall, without having to travel too far. There are some beautiful beaches nearby, we would recommend Bedruthan Steps. The town itself has some lovely little shops and great eateries.

We would recommend Driftwood apartment to anyone, of any age who is looking to explore Cornwall.

Lostwithiel is situated in a valley. The River Fowey winds it's way through the historic market town and on through Coulson park to the moors and nature reserve. The attractive town has a variety of independant shops, a medieval church and the Duchy Palace.

There are traditional old pubs and a variety of coffee shops, tea rooms and restaurants within walking distance of the apartment.

Easy access to A30 and the North and South coasts. Beaches are 15 minutes away by car and Eden Project is 10 minutes by car.
