Biddestone is in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on the edge of the Cotswolds. It is one of three quintessential English villages, Lackock, Castle Combe and Biddestone. Lackock has been used as the location for many English period dramas, the most famous of which is 'Pride and Prejudice.' The Georgian City of Bath is 20 minutes away. Bath is a National Heritage site famous for it's Spa which has been newly renovated and is quite sumptuous! Bath also has excellent restaurants, shopping, museums and theatre,many West End Productions come here first. The countryside around Biddestone is ideal for walking and biking; bikes can be provided. Most walks and Bike rides end up at a Pub! The ancient stones at Avebury and Stonhenge are a beautiful day out, and the White Horse on the Wiltshire downs is a wonderful place to picnic. Or, you can take a day trip down the Avon and Somerset Canal. Or Simply use this as a base to explore further South into Dorset and the Jurassic coast.
