This former school house for the local area has been beautifully restored to a luxury 5* all year round holiday let sleeping up to 12. A large hand built dining kitchen featuring stunning oak island, floor & beams, woodburning stove, breakfast table & sofa with all mod cons to suit every culinary expectation. Oak doors lead to a large living room featuring a huge baronial fireplace, 3 metre high windows overlooking the forest & valley, dining for 12, shower room/WC leading off. 3 double bedrooms (2 with stoves) featuring handmade furniture, stripped floors & valley views. A large family bathroom on the first floor with bath & shower. A large attic room on second floor, sleeping 6 (with WC). Double French doors in the kitchen overlook the mature garden, heated pool (10 x 5m with safety cover) & extensive decked terrace with mountain views. Fully central heated with English & French sockets. Garage/playroom with table tennis/darts & use of mountain bikes. Parking for 4 cars.

The historic chateaux's of Foix, Montsegur and Roquefixade are on your doorstep, with stunning panoramic views of the Pyrenees mountain range as well as some challenging walks and climbs for enthusiasts. An unbelievable variety of activities can be found at the property or within a short drive, making this holiday location attractive in an all round sense - road cycling, mountain biking, walking, hiking, climbing and bird watching. You'll find canoeing/rafting and other activities at most of the local rivers and you can swim and sail at both of the nearby lakes - Lac Montbel and Puivert. Winter fun in the snow is on your doorstep and a short drive to Mont d'Olme Family ski resort provides red/blue/green runs and superb children's nursery and sledging slope.
