Land:
The cottage is situated on 20 acres, 50% pine forest. The remainder is terraced with numerous trees, including olive, orange, fig, cherry, apple, apricot, nespera, plum, peach and chestnut. You are welcome to pick the fruits in season, June being the time to pick cherries, apricots and plums. Oranges are available between December and June.
Wildlife:
Being in a forested area, wild boar can often be seen and heard eating figs outside the window during the night.
Golf:
The local golf course in Marvão is not open presently due to ongoing change of ownership, but there is a golfcourse in Badajos in Spain, less than an hours drive away.
