This beautiful 3 bedroom, 3 full bath house is perfect any month of the year! We have a wrap around porch with outdoor gas fireplace that is wonderful on chilly summer nights and heavenly in the winter. We have a large gas grill and there is always jockeying to be grill master as the back porch is such a peaceful setting in late afternoon. Hammocks and chairs allow for morning coffee, afternoon naps, or just relaxing while viewing the sunset. During the fall and winter we have a large number of cozy blankets to wrap up in while watching the snow fall.
A full size washer and dryer, a king bed as well as three queen beds, full size futon and multiple inflatable mattresses allow large groups to fit comfortably.
With the lake just down the street we have kayaks and basic bait casting poles for fishing off the docks or one of the inlets nearby. The avid fisherman will want to bring their own as the area is a fishing paradise. Bring your bike or rent one in town to enjoy the numerous paved paths in the area. We have a bike trailer perfect for toddlers or to load fresh produce from the Sandpoint Farmers Market. The area is also known for fantastic mountain biking. There is the potential for boat slip usage. This would be an additional fee and subject to additional conditions so call to discuss.
We offer a lending library with books and movies for all ages. We have a waterproof picnic blanket, beach chairs, plastic containers and coolers for days by the lake. The area draws you outside to enjoy everything Sandpoint has to offer - bike trails, hiking trails, swimming, boating, all types of skiing, or just sitting and looking at the beautiful nature that surrounds us.
Our house was and still is our home. In keeping with the beauty of the area as well as our own ideas you will find organic cotton sheets, wool blankets, eco-friendly cleaning products as well as laundry detergent for your use. You will find many extras too numerous to list to make your visit a memorable one.
We do have two HD televisions with built in internet apps so you have access to Netflix, Hulu, Pandora, etc. and we also have high speed internet. Two Blue-Ray DVD are also available and we have a DVD collection suitable for children and adults. If cable television is a must for you please be advised it will not be available for the 2013-2014 season.
We have two bedrooms downstairs. The large master bedroom opens onto the porch and has a beautiful slate master bath complete with double shower. The second bedroom downstairs has a queen bed and full size bathroom located just outside in the hall, also boasting slate floors and counters. Upstairs holds the third bedroom. Originally designed as a 4 bedroom home, we had the builders redesign the upstairs into one large bedroom rather than the two. The short hall at the top of the stairs opens into the large bedroom that runs the width of the house. Two queen beds, a double futon, amoire with television and Blue-ray player, two dressers and book shelves, and space for blow up mattresses, make this ideal for teens and children, or an additional suite for couples. There is another full size bathroom with a tub/shower upstairs completed in slate as well.
The large open floor plan downstairs invites lots of visiting and the kitchen is large enough for two cooks to work. Viking appliances, granite counters, wood flooring, and custom drapery all add to the beauty and comfort of our wonderful home.
